There is no rule that talks abt playing on the ground slide tackles are fine but sometimes playing on the ground can be classified as dangerous play and then the official steps in so no one gets injured

What it looks like it has a spin on this and it hit his shin losing most power he chipped it with the tip of his shoe kicking up into his knee having no power for kick then executed a slide tackle which he may or may not have needed to do he did it perfectly contacting ball first from what this looks like he could be offensive or a mid fielder and may be too small to get around physical contact with defenders therefore when it got taken he decided to do a slide tackle
