Everyone here making comments about her having a lot of stuff and that vs. minimalism. Minimalism isn't about living in a sterile environment... it's a mindset, not a decor. It's about taking away the things that don't serve a purpose or bring joy to your life. For some people, that includes more knick-knacks than for others. It's the getting rid of useless to you items... if they serve a purpose, they stay! She has filled her space with the things that bring her joy, like her items on the window sill and the artwork, combined with things she definitely wanted, like her rug and the shoe rack in the door. She's doing it right.

I love the bright colors, I love the maximalist decor, I love the one-story living, I love how she incorporated storage everywhere without it being intrusive. This is a terrific example of how you can make a tiny house fit your needs that aren't like everyone else's. I also love that she KNEW what she wanted, and she advocated for herself to get it. I believe she got a great value for her money here.

Oh my goodness. Teri STILL has a lot of stuff! It's personal to her though, and it makes her happy to be surrounded by her things. I'm not sentimental but people who are I find interesting. This is one of the most individualized tiny homes I've seen, full of personality and happy memories. She's so right, the all-on-one-floor plan works very well for older knees. I'd need a little shade for the outdoor living, given the hot TX summers, but maybe she's made arrangements for that.

I love how homey and lived in her house feels. I feel like for most other people they like deep clean and make it look like a staged room more than a place where someone actually lives which is totally fine, not a big deal. I just like how hers is very lived in. it paints a better picture of how someone who's a bit more clutter filled like myself with knick knacks, books, random furniture etc

First, I love the exterior colors. The blue and white combo remind me of the ocean. Really calming. When we went inside, it took me a bit to appreciate how she had combined all the elements to work for her. The high ceilings and numerous windows reminded me of a Parisian apartment. We are used to tiny houses that are fairly bare inside. Her fireplace added charm. The coffee bar was so European. The washer/dryer in the bathroom hidden behind the curtain was smart. I liked it. My style is different but this was certainly a cozy home for Teri. Her outdoor deck allows for guests and entertaining. Thanks for sharing.

I absolutely love this tiny house! And, Teri is a treasure! She has shown us that we do not have to get rid of absolutely everything we own. There are so many things that I've accumulated over my lifetime but I don't want to part with and her example proves that we can keep those things that we truly love. She has filled her 32 ft tiny with all the things that she cherished. I hope that I will be able to duplicate what she has done. Thanks for a great video!

I'm happy for you, it's such a good solution that in place of paying a lot for rent, you've invested in buying your own space. I down-sized at 74 and wish I'd done it much sooner. Living smaller as a single woman ages is that best!

Such a wonderful home full of treasures that mean something to the owner. I agree with Teri. It costs a lot of money to build a home that is strong and well built, with quality materials and features. It sounds like she had a positive and productive relationship with her builder and here is the end result! I am trying to downsize my possessions. Teri's advice was very motivating. A great video!

Wow !!!!! I'm really loving this. This is the first tiny house I have seen that is filled with lovely treasures. I love the outside color how it match with her car and patio furniture. The extra details she added are fabulous !!!! She filled her home with personal treasures, I would do the same thing. I can identify with a lot she was saying, including no stairs, bedroom on main floor. Her taste is similar to mine. Her home is so precious, I hope she will always enjoy her tiny home. She designed it just the way she wanted with her individual style and taste. 👌👍👌

First I love the layout and I like how they thought through ease especially as we grow older or even living alone. Second, I loved the clean, lived in look and it is amazing how she found a place for keepsakes that are important to her. I am jealous of the outdoor living space! It's awesome. I love some of the unique touches that were embedded into the decor and creative ways they found to incorporate them.

What I love about her decorating is that, while it's "busy" it's also classic. The coincidental appearance of things that really make her heart sing also happen to make her look extremely affluent, even to scarves draped over the mirror in the bedroom.

Love your use of the glass restaurant panel as a divider. It works without closing in the sight line. Who knew you could combine a ceiling fan and chandelier; creating the most fashionable and luxe looking fixture I've seen in a tiny house?! I love it! Everything about it, the openness of the ceiling, ground floor bedroom, washer/dryer, deck with outdoor living room. She's a little more cluttered then I am, but I love the colors and I would have a bunch of plants. I live in the desert where it's always windy, and that super-fine sand gets in, I wouldn't want to have to dust all that bric-a-brac and then trying to vacuum the carpet all the time. That's all small stuff. I love this tiny home! 💖👍🏼💋💙💙💙💙💙💙

Some of the comments on this video are ridiculous. People are actually judging her and saying that she is a "hoarder" because they call her home cluttered and don't think she downsized enough. No matter how cluttered her home may be, she DID downsize from what she previously had. Furthermore, it's HER home. There are no strict rules about how tiny homes are decorated. This is her personal space, which she paid for, and she can live however she wants.

I love, love, love your tiny house!! 💙 Blue is also my favorite color!! We wanted to downsize, so two years ago we moved from a 2,200 sq ft ranch to an 1,100 sq ft ranch. (I also don’t want to do steps at my age - 51 - or anytime in the future lol) But lately I’ve been contemplating us moving to a tiny house, in preparation for retirement, for many of the same reasons you chose to go tiny. Although, the thought of having to go through all my stuff & downsize again is a little scary and overwhelming!! I may need your help & expertise lol!!

Love this woman and her house. Love the whimsical decor, especially the art/collections. I adore her dining table! I would personally try to create a more monochromatic lounge area, with one colour of cushions. Can have different fabrics and textures but one color. Love the chandelier/fan combo. Your taste is really lovely. I am just finding all of the knickknacks a bit busy. I might cull those down, perhaps rotate them. Love the ceiling, it adds so much warmth. The glass panel, lovem love love! One of the things that could help is a digital photo frame. That way you can have a lot of photos, not so much dusting. Your location is really peaceful. The color blue is amazing and just you. You have an amazing sense of style. The prints, the crosses, the print of the door photos. Love! Love some of your storage solutions like you closet. You can completely tell how vibrant you are. I wish I lived closer so I could spend time on your porch! Enjoy your gorgeous Tiny home. 😊❤🌷

Looks like she did her homework and got the right fit for her needs. Aging in place would seem to be a great market fit for Tiny Homes, but my tastes would be for at least a 10 foot wide design.

@@jodysawatzky1204 Well, you can argue she should have downsized more for the size home she moved into but if she had actually kept all her stuff from the previous home then no one would even be able to get in the front door without running into something. So she did downsize... Downsizing is just relative, and depends on both how much stuff you eliminate as well as how much smaller a space you will put what remains. You can basically get rid of over half your stuff but it can still look cluttered if you move into a space that's less than half the size you kept your stuff in before... Besides, downsizing doesn't always mean the same thing to everyone... It's just something to consider that not everyone should try to live in the same size home as people won't all downsize to the same amount. Since, people just won't all have the same needs, priorities, and what they do and don't care about keeping... Whether it's the amount of stuff, the number of people, etc. it should be about finding what's appropriate and not trying to fit into some proprietary standard that will only work for certain people in certain situations and ignores everyone else...

@@ZeoCyberG : She also didn't have storage lofts. So everything she has is out on display. I actually like the fact that she's living in it to the fullest. She has e everything she loves out on display to see and enjoy, and not tucked away forgotten. 😉

@@dianemoonstone4715I get what you're saying however I noticed she has started to pile up boards in the back of her yard too! I would be disturbed as a neighbor looking out my window at piles of mess in my neighborhood.
