VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
This true nomad has been on the road for four years with no storage unit or home base, just her spectacular van and everything inside. Joni strives to keep an eco-friendly lifestyle while spreading knowledge of essential oils and clean living. Her floors are made of Marmoleum, the countertops are Paper Stone (which comes from recycled paper), and her drawers are ApplyPly. You won’t find anything disposable in her rig, and everything is electric, including her E-bike stored in the garage!
The van conversion is powered with 400 watts of solar and 500amp hours of Lithium batteries. There is a 40-gallon freshwater tank filtered through a Berkey system for all drinking and cooking. Joni admits that her clothes storage has decreased on the road as her food storage has increased, proving the priorities of most van-lifers. Food sharing with your community is more important than wearing a new outfit every day!

@@TheGalavan I wish this was an option in the UK, but we just aren’t set up for this. Anyone parking up and sleeping is moved on unless it’s a dedicated lorry parking space- which are always full and stink of diesel fumes!

@@62WILDCAT; Hi Dee Carol! God blessing you. I've been noticing its mostly we women going nomads tiny resourseful lliving. Isn't that odd? Considering how forever men provided "homes" for us to live & raise children in. Oh boy. Me, I'm gradually transforming a rent to own shed into a home (yes costs way more $$$). To go off grid...to be here for my youngest son & his only son...but my son committed suicide for reasons unknown...I've been devastated...I've gone without heat for 6 months in below freezing nights to single digits...k70

Forgot to say I loved the refrigerator placement. It's out of the way and in an area with more space. Good idea! I also like the beach awning or shower curtain for shading. Much easier to stow and less expensive. I would like to know if you have ever used water from streams, etc in the Berkey? I've read that they will filter turbid water but I'm still concerned about bacteria and protozoans. Any input is appreciated.

It's the Isotherm Freezer 90 along with a Stainless Lobster digital controller.

There are several where you can pick what you want it to be. One side freezer, one side fridge, or both fridge, etc.

Wow! I'm so absolutely impressed. I love seeing a woman my age which motivates me. I love that she cared about how green her van build was and I admire how she lives her life with less. Superb design. I will definitely use some of these features for my own van build. Like the open shelving, two swivel seats (unless I close off part of the front...Thank you Tiny Home Tours!!

I lived in the woods and I put oil of cloves on cotton balls in every drawer.and whole cloves in open spaces under cupboards. Never had a mouse.
