Her Lawn Guy Said It Was "TOO HARD" So I Offered To Clean It Up For FREE

Fill's Lawn Care

Жыл бұрын

After I completed the corner lot across the street, the neighbor came out and ask me how much i'd charge her to clean up her overgrown sidewalk. I told her it was going to be... FREE. She was suprised! She thought I was kidding. She thanked me and then told me that her lawn guy said it was "too hard" of a task to restore the edges of the sidewalk and clean up all the sod overgrowth. I don't know if he was a professional or a fly-by-night kinda guy, but apparently he never edged or maintained the sidewalk when providing his lawn service.
Never treated it like his own... sad. She asked if i'd want to take over the property, but I had to decline because I am currently focusing on becoming a full time content creator and only taking on a handful of weekly lawn maintenance clients.
Nothing is too hard for a professional that knows what he's doing. Yes, it takes a lot of time for something that seems like such a small task. But with the right tools and enough practice, the task becomes second nature. Keep up with your sidewalks! Thank you for watching and God bless you!

I really do appreciate that you're not trying to drag people infront of the camera to capture their reactions. You let your work to the talking. Thanks for making your lawn care channel one of the best out there :)
@fillslawncare

I feel like a lot of lawn channels are doing that these days. Whatever happened to just showing your work? I feel like a lot of these creators copy each other. They notice that these "reactions" gain a lot of views and attention, and then they start to revolve their content solely on that. It's sad and they won't admit it, but it's 100% true.

Had not thought about that, but very good point. If you’re doing a courtesy job, embarrassing the homeowners is demoralizing. Very good point. Do your service, share your content, move on. If there’s a special need, that’s nice to hear about, but not fishing for a compliment.

@@fillslawncare I see nothing wrong in adapting things that work but in this case i don't like what most channels have become, just like you said. For me, you handle it in the best way possible: you share bits of background here and there on why lawns get like that and at least for me, it always has a touch of education to it you know? Making sure the public understands that most people who live like that are in a tough spot and it is not "their fault". So again, thank you.

@@fillslawncare I think a large part of that trend is due to creators putting too much emphasis on their comments section, not realizing that the comments are representing a small percentage of their subscribers and an even smaller percentage of the total viewing audience.

Even though just a simple straight line, i believe it is the satisfaction achieved at the end of the job. I have faith in you Fill's Lawn Care! No matter how bad the side walk at the beginning, you will take your time to do a good job without rushing to finish it up. Most of all, you NEVER throw your equipments at the lawn. You will gently lay your equipments down as you do treat it with respect and in return it will last longer. Keep up the great work. Watching your videos all the way from Malaysia... find it totally satisfying how you put all the green stuff in the wheelbarrow. Most people always throw it on the lawn and then drive over it with the lawn mower. I always find that very irritating, especially since it creates even more dust when you clean it up with the leaf blower. Many greetings from a fan from German

Just a quick suggestion, I use a folding truck for carrying out a bin (to use as a bags holder), with a quick ratchet strap to hold it into place, easier to carry around on grass or in your cargo. Thanks for the video, amazing job as always

Wow, what a job. Great work Fill. You just about did the whole block. I'm hoping everyone who lives around there are impressed, as I sure am. Awesome.

Outstanding job and great way to help the community to look a lot better, and that is commendable on your part it had become a tradition for you to go out and clean sidewalks that need some tender care and you are the men for that type of job.

Thank you Fill….on top of your careful and skilled work, you pick up and take away the grass and dirt debris…too many other channels, throw it back onto the lawn so that it leaves huge brown marks after its mown, as well as creating huge dust storms that drift onto the house. Keep doing it your way, and your channel will grow in leaps and bounds! NZ fan…👍🌿🦋🌸🌈

That home looks like it is across the street from where you did 2 previous clean ups. I remember that wall on the property. I think you did a nice job on this one! Much nicer walkway and curb line! Hard work on your part at 4 hours!! No wonder her lawn care person didn't want to do it!
