Moving to Jamaica is a dream for many. Michelle Kenny, founder of Diva’s Take Negril, is making that dream a reality. Through her many organized group trips to Negril Michelle has decided to make Negril Jamaica her future home. Every year she organizes a group of black American women to come to Jamaica to experience the culture and enjoy the island. Many of her group members have found love during these trips and have gotten married to local Jamaicans. I learned a lot about Michelle and the Diva group

I fell in love in 2019 and have been 6 times since🤣🤣🤣 One will NEVER understand how the culture captures your heart when you are bitten by the bug. It just feels like home to me. I have NEVER experienced love in any other place I have vacationed. Jamaica is love. The people, the culture is ALL love. I always have the best time of my life. Im working on my Expat journey and planning my 2 trips…one for fun and the other a volunteer health fair with a group of Nurse Practitioner. brand Jamaica sells , People loves Jamaica, the only problem is, Does Jamaican loves Jamaica? and does Jamaican understand that they can benefit from tourism , do we understand the love that outsiders have for Jamaica?, but we can’t ignore the fact that, we have to bee telling people to be careful in Jamaica unfortunately, we know that Jamaica is nice the land scape is beautiful, but it is also dangerous , the government and the police alone cannot stop the lawlessness, the people of Jamaica have to want it to stop, because I am telling you all of Jamaica could benefit greatly from tourism, if the lawlessness dies down, and don’t say it’s bad every where, I’m not interested in every where, I am not planning to retire and go back to live everywhere else ,I would like to retire from working decades in these United States and live in the land of my birth, and live in peace and quiet and safety .

I get what you are saying and the same goes for the states as you stated. Just like I tell my family here, you don't know what is out there if you never leave the walls/area that you stay in. I always use the analogy that when it snows, I only see that the snow has not been plowed in front of my house. I don't know that the street on the other roads are plowed and life is moving at a normal pace. People have to get out and see the world. I and many others happen to love Jamaica! Specifically Negril. I believe that the people of Negril see how much tourism is changing that area and its not "as bad" as one may want to think. I want the entire Island to flourish from Tourism!! It is needed. One person at a time, but it starts with Us. I will bring the change I wish to see. Thanks for watching and your feedback. We can do it!!!! Our people deserve it!!
