Oh, Nancy! I try to do this, but I am VERY time challenged. If I hired an assistant that would be possible. Taking courses from our school would be the best option because there's text for all of them! The Tribe alone has thousands of pages of text in the books! I don't make enough from KZfaq to justify a person to do this right now, as the income is only between $200 and $500 a month at this time.

I have written hundreds of books for our school! Students of courses have access to these, and they're excellent, well-researched thoroughly, and the goal is to teach herbalism in a quality way.

If the burn is oozing or not covered with a layer of skin, don't use a salve. If it's scabbing, it's fine, or if it's a little burn--first degree. I hope you heal quickly!

i have had two strokes but thankfully i am off my blood pressure medicine, yay. but unfortunately i am still weak on my left side. i am going to try your allergy/congestion tincture. Hoping to be able to join your ditch the drug store.

Love your videos- thank you! I made the Frankincense tears infused oil recipe- is there a use for the leftover frankincense powder that was used in oil? ( I hate to waste it).

I agree with you on this! If it still smells strongly, I'll often add it to a much smaller jar and do another infusion.

You could use it in soap making, I have used mine like that in a goat milk soap and it was only a lil bit of frankincence but it ended up smelling like honeycomb. Beautiful!

Hi Heidi!! I think I say this every time, but I’m just so grateful for your channel. I wanted to ask you a question. About 6 years ago, I went to a vein specialist to treat spider veins and varicose veins. After an ultrasound, I was told I have faulty valves and they would need to perform a procedure to collapse the veins. After the procedure, my legs were left with a “shadow” and bruising of where the vein used to be. I was told this would fade over time, but it’s taken 6 long years and I still have marks and bruising all over my legs as well as lumps! It is so unattractive and embarrassing and regret ever getting the procedure done. I have researched so much on anything that would help but haven’t been able to heal it completely. I’ve read this reaction is extremely rare and is called hyperpigmentation. Would this salve help or do you know of anything that would help heal this deep bruising under my skin? Thanks so much for your help!!

I'm so very sorry about this, but you are beautiful regardless! This salve may help, and I would suggest a holistic approach with the whole body. I only say this because I had a keloid scar from the time I was 15 until about five years into my going off all OTC and Rx and just using herbs (around 43 ish). Then it slowly vanished over time.

Thanks for this recipe! I have a question....is there any concern that heating the carrier oils, or adding essential oils to the very warm carrier oils, will diminish the beneficial properties of any of the oils?

If the heat is very high, yes, especially on the essential oils because they're volatile. The trick is to get them stirred in quickly, then poured into the tins. This "fixes" most of them really well because they're soluble in oil.

I am trying to decide whether to join the tribe or take the Family Herbalist Cert. can anyone help me out here 😅. If I join the Tribe, do you get some of the same content as the course? Trying to make a decision…

Hey! If you've been studying herbalism for awhile and have your home apothecary dialed in well or at least you feel good about it, then the Tribe is the place to be. We just go deeper in there on health & wellness, plant research and phytochemistry, A&P (organically as it comes up), and I'm live every week. Otherwise, a lot of people start with DTDS or the Certification then jump into the Tribe when they feel they're ready. :-) It's totally up to you. **In the Family Herbalist certification program, there are a few of the plant masterclasses included, and these are herbs a well-rounded family herbalist should know well. There are also data sheets on essential oils with emphasis on safety. These plant studies are found in the Tribe....with that said, the Tribe has a massive amount of content.

It depends on what they're made with. I don't recommend salt peter or other chemicals or artificial scent.

It depends. Sometimes on Amazon. I like the Plant Guru brand for high quality, even with glycerine. You can also find it from reputable companies like New Directions or other organic/natural skincare suppliers.
