Where i live (in Zambia) this plant grows a lot in maize fields......its Something we eat a lot...and get for free, Didn't know its called ambunu and can be used for hair..... Wow lucky me 😁

We don't call it ambunu in Zambia. In fact it's not the same, though they are all from the same family. The one down south us truly meant for very very course hair like ours.

I did water for many years too. I loved it. I used to call it the leave it the f alone method hahaha Now my hair is so long and damaged I have to use conditioner to wash, I use pantene it's the bomb. But I'm going to try this stuff although seeing the tangles gave me shudders, cuz that's literally my hair if I look at it sideways hahaha

I add dried hibiscus flowers and cloves to my mix. 😚I'm still playing around with making leave-in conditioners and even a stable cleansing conditioner with it; anything to help extend its multiple benefits.

I’m wondering if you think it will be okay on my hair? Rice water and certain coconut oils wreak havoc on my hair for context. I followed your guidance to use products without protein and use your real protein treatment separately. That’s been working out great for me. Please let me know your thoughts. Nice And Informative.. This Grows A Lot In Northern Nigeria. Both Fresh And Dry Is Used For Soups, And It Is Equally Used To Wash The Hair. It Gives A Lot Of Slip When Added To Your Shampoo..

It depends. I like Ambunu as a mild cleanser to use more often. And I like to use clays as a detoxifier, like 4-5 times a year.

Would this be good for low porosity hair? It's a light cleanser so I'm sure I will have to use something else to get ride of buildup up I was wondering if this would be a good alternative for the days that I cowash. What do you think?
