Some people just like to find reason to judge others and usually these are those that have access to many more places to get good deals adn they do not stop to think about that or about the fact that their cell phones and computers are all made in China

Preach it Heidi, I so understand if you purchase thru Amazon, you can purchase with ease that they will take care of you if issues arise. It’s also hard to beat their price anywhere and you can shop from the safety and comfort of home. I hate Wal Mart, but I still shop there because of cost and convenience, we do what works best for us, and our pocketbook. Great video, thanks for sharing, blessings

Good morning Heidi! You're bubbly and vivacious this morning! 🙂 Ha! Those boots! 😆 They didn't want them either! If it were me, and it's not, I'd give them to a secondhand store. Even if they're a p.o.s., they're brand new. Someone would love to have them.😉 I'm so glad you brought up the shampoo and what you put in it. My hair is getting quite thin.😞 Happy also to be planting the herbs I got from you shortly. Some of those will be helpful too. Love, hugs and prayers.💜🤗🙏

I buy from amazon as a last resort, but as far as affiliates go, you may actually be reducing amazon's profit. If someone is going to buy from them anyway, they may as well buy it through someone's link. They will pay the same as they would directly from amazon, but some of the profit will be diverted to the affiliate. My tip here, if you intend to buy something off amazon that has nothing to do with Heidi's suggested products, click on one of her links anyway and then buy your other item instead. Whatever you buy after using her link will give her a percentage.

Living in a small town 6500 ppl the next three towns are 30 miles, each in different directions. Amazon is one place I can get things that I can't find in our town... Even though I don't like some of their practices the drive to the nearest big city is a 2-3 hour drive thru the canyons... beautiful drive but not for a few special items... Just saying... Smiles from the Southern Oregon Coast

Very similar situation for us but I believe our population is less than 4000 and the nearest larger town is 6o miles away. Any towns nearer are a fraction the size of the one we live in.

Did you know that just leaving aloe vera on your hair, it will not let it go grey? been waiting for the grey hair, am 50 but also have the habit of leaving aloe vera on my hair for a day or 2 or perhaps more LOL and also I DO NOT LET NOT ONE to touch my hair (my grandma told me that hair gets jealous when someone touches it and gets damaged). Am 50 and have zero grey hair and my hair is long and thick and black and of course no menopause as you said "diet is the key" am a herbivore since 2016 for health, I was dying of all kinds of illnesses including cancer but just changed eating habits from full carnivorous (never a junk eater) to 100% herbivorous but unprocessed natural real foods in all colors and shapes (gmo or non gmo does not matter), BINGO Healed!!! Last year 2020 started learning about foraging and with that all the properties and healing benefits of plants, mushrooms, trees, seeds, etc. Found out that glossy privet is also to darken hair, just made a very strong oil with it for hair but I use it for all, skin, hair, face LOL as it is suppose to clear skin color. I love your videos, I love all the information you share (except the socks LOL). I spend zero on veggies and I have no garden yet LOL or I ever had a garden, I though just throwing seeds on the floor will make a garden hahahahaha but not!!! anyways, foraging (so lucky to live in a Livable forest TX) has saved me a lot more $$$$ even more than going herbivore as I have zero illness now and I take zero processed meds! Got shingles and healed with pennyworth and made a tea of (yucky) yellow dock roots that tastes just horrible but hey, it worked! Got arthritis and just by eating all the foraged wild weeds daily and in quantity, my hands have full mobility again and zero pain in only 2 months!!!! Got bronchitis (did not wear a jacket on a very windy and coldest day in Texas plus staid all day outside) and healed in only 2 days a mega tea of herbs I have at home, I was puzzle on how fast and easy symptoms disappeared. Anyways, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR WISDOM!!! Sending lots of Love!

I really went out of my way to buy locally from stores that employ ppl or from our 2nd hand shop. Its really upsetting how theyve closed down now. Not just for the lockdiwn, but are permanently out of business. Ive started taking donation bags and put up items for free on ebay, but not many ppl find them to pick them up. Now we just have a few cheap chain stores from sweatshop labor. Ive gotten a few things online one pair of shoes actually, they were not even solid fake leather! They are some kind of polyester fiber and they soak up water like a sponge.

Yes, I got scammed on canning items! It had American made and looked just like legit canning items. Just like you said....junk! Money was refunded from PayPal and I didn’t have to return anything. I stopped amazon but then I thought there are good Christian people working there and needed that job, so I’m back.

Hey, who's "old"?!? 🤣😂😇 Agree with you about Amazon, Heidi. We have chose to source and buy "local" as well as directly from companies. However, we live closer to a metro area than you do. It's not to say we will never utilize amazon services again, though. No judging from this old lady...

I’m curious if you have any tips or tricks to keeping iron level up? I will have an iron infusion soon and need to figure out how to keep it up.
@RainCountryHomestead
@RainCountryHomestead 3 жыл бұрын
Not really as that is not something I specifically try to keep up because I am Thalasseimic meaning I already retain too much iron. Not all anemia is caused from low iron content. I do believe simply eating whole foods and cooking in cast iron should be enough though

Hi Heidi I'm making some herbal shampoo and hand soap now wondering if you happen to have recipe for shaving soap? I made the soap with tallow wondering if you can just used that? Thanks again for your sharing
@RainCountryHomestead
@RainCountryHomestead 3 жыл бұрын
While I have come up with a shave soap recipe, I never got around to making a video of it. I do not remember if I wrote down exactly what I used in it but do remember adding almond oil. However, any homemade soap will make a good shave soap with the right equipment. Getting disk shaped silicone molds are helpful as this makes a good shape and size for fitting into a shaving bowl and then you want to make sure you have a shaving brush to go with the bowl.

Have you ever canned with Pur Canning Lids? I just bought a few at a local Hardware store. I think they were the only ones they could get...I have not used them for canning...they seem kind of cheap. I may only use them for non canning lids...

I used to make both but have not made kombucha in a number of years and water kefir in a couple of years. I prefer to just make a natural soda when I am in the mood with my own fermentation starter: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y7CBq62e39fVZnk.html

What many like you do not understand is that there are a lot of good, US based small businesses that earn their income by selling through Amazon. Not every thing there is made in or supports China but rather supports good Americans just trying to make it. Also, content creators like myself also earn a small portion from sales through our links, this is just one of the ways we can still offer information for free to anyone who wants or needs it whiel still being able to earn something for the many hours of work that goes into putting our content out there, But if you do not like it, then don't use our links, but be thankful you can still get what we offer for free since I do not have special clubs for only those who are willing to pay and NEVER charge for any of the information I put out, not even on Patreon as I make all my content open and free to everyone. Now, through the years I have been able to start finding more US businesses I can deal with directly outside of Amazon. These are products I use on a regular basis and not only can I earn a bit of revenue from sales, I can offer people coupon codes that save them %10-%15 percent. I actually prefer this as it is a win win for all of us but it takes time to be able to get to that point. Even since this video, which I believe is a few years old now, I have been able to hook up with quite a few US based businesses that are not associated with Amazon.

@RainCountryHomestead I appreciate the response. If we can find other ways to support your prodicts other than Amazon, or could be win- win. Amazon needs to be drained, and smaller streams will create freedom. I love your products. I'll go to your website. Long-term, our survival depends on it.
