That's why there's a definition on when to call an organism "invasive". It's not arbitrary. The "greater pattern" of his "superfoods" is that they are a threat (invasive) to whole eco systems, further increase the pressure on native life forms in times of climate change and also lead to a loss in biodiversity and an increasing unification as we globally see it right now, which is not a good thing for mankind at all. What I see here is a very human-centric and short-sighted view on this topic. Anyway, plants and herbalism themselves are very interesting. Thanks for the video.

It is absolutely arbitrary. My county Palm Beach, calls any species that arrived after European colonization as "invasive". The government sprays our water ways with triclopyr..smart huh? This discussion centered around plants, so the point remains, using poisons to manage is indeed short sighted because no matter how much you apply, they will come back, with long term damage unknown. In reality, the so called invasives are actually improving soil and in many instances are the only way native climax trees can get established. This is abundantly clear to people who own and manage land, not those sitting behind desks playing armchair ecologist. Animal agriculture and urban sprawl are the real threats to native species, not invasives, which is an imagined threat.
