Love to know there are people like you. I have a special affinity for parrots. I have had an African Grey and currently have a 30 year old hahns mini macaw that was removed from a hoarding situation when she was nine and have had her ever since. There's such a wonderful bond with these intelligent creatures.

I really enjoyed listening to this podcast, gonna check out Mary's offerings! Appreciate her willingness to be a guide for us that have a love of plants, interest in our health but I've just been dabbling. Great advice for me to consider how I use my time and her book, and offerings will help guide us with practical but enjoyable learning to get to know the plants better where I am going with this interest. 💚

This was such an interesting presentation. Especially since I am a native desert rat. Christine mentioned the plant adaptation miracle of desert plants, I witness this as well in my Sonoran Desert. It always amazes me. Petrichor is a definite lovely anomaly in the desert, but I didn't know the technical term until this episode. I can identify with the "ugly" houses. As we witness the massive houses being built in our pristine rural desert. I don't have Joshua Trees on my acreage, but 20 miles north I can see many. I have a new admiration for them. We just saw a tortoise on our walk yesterday. We have learned in the past not to pick them up because of their bladder reservoir. I am glad Christine made that awareness to viewers. In addition, the discussion on cat diet was similar to my three rescue dogs' diet. I make their food very much like the cat diet she suggested. I appreciate the information and fun!

Yep. We can be real suckers for a pretty label and something from far, far away with an exotic name... as the gardener is mowing down all of the, much healthier, Free "weeds" growing right outside our door.

I disagree- Do. Herbalism will help the connection between plants and the people. The earth will be helped once people learn the love of the plant- they'll look at all of them different and it leads back to caring for the earth and learning the natives. They go hand in hand.

Grew up on sailboat in Caribbean and Bahamas. I would go to the market, and buy a bag full, and spit the seeds overboard as I ate them. Sometimes I could find them on an island for a beach picnic. They can range in taste depending on ripeness. One of my favorite food memories, and another invisible doorway into herbalism.
