Another great song that you never hear on 80s formats or retro shows. It's as though the marketers of such formats want everyone, especially the new generation, to think that the 80s was all about Madonna, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson and Prince. All of those are great, don't get me wrong. But there was a ton of other stuff that gets ignored. BALLADS by Billy Ocean for one. And stuff like this by Herb Alpert for another. This song is just as catchy, if not moreso, as all the 80s stuff we get shoved at us everytime we turn on a playlist

@@scottlarson1548 thank you! I have never heard that before, that is interesting. Makes sense. They don't know me, though. I'm changing it because I DO recognize the songs. I adore Journey and I think they're a great group. But I can't even listen to them anymore because of the over- playing.
@scottlarson15483 жыл бұрын
@@Farr50 Radio has become a passive experience to listeners now, just some music in the background that they ignore. I think that's because active listeners are using Spotify, Pandora, and others to find music these days. No one *really* expects to hear a song for the first time on the radio now.

80s materialism had NOTHING on the gross, gratuitous materialism of 2021! Are you kidding me??? Have you even watched a newer video, or listened to the morally corrupt lyrics of today's music?
