Herbie Hancock es un gran pianista de jazz y UN TRABAJADOR INFATIGABLE.!! Hace 30 años estaba aburrido por las calles de mi ciudad Huelva (Andalucía, Spain) en un pequeño teatro se anunciaba que en media hora actuaba Herbie Hancock, ERA EL MISMO MÚSICO DE MIS DISCOS DE VINILO.!!!, en una ciudad insignificante para los grandes espectáculos de música. Entré en el pequeño y bonito patio de butacas y ante un grupo de aficionados a la música jazz actuó el maestro internacional Herbie en Huelva ¡¡ es un recuerdo imborrable en mi vida. Gracias por ser un trabajador infatigable y llegar hasta mi pequeña ciudad, le deseo lo mejor y grandes éxitos.... 🎹🎼

Mis respeto y admiración para ambos virtuosos, he disfrutado plenamente este concierto, aunque he quedado gratamente sorprendido con el nivel de Herbie Hancock, es un excelente pianista

It's Herbie's forte to play jazz and Lang Lang's to play classical that doesn't mean that Lang Lang is faking.

@bencrom Don't be such a prick, music isn't an untouchable artifact that goes in a museum. Even if it is a bit of a publicity stunt, the performance was genuinely outstanding. These so-called inaccuracies you speak of are simply cuts made in order to fit the piece into about half the time. How many pieces have you ever arranged for orchestra and two pianos, meant to highlight two extremely diverse and talented soloists?

Gershwin's whole modus operandi was fusing classical and jazz. He'd be very pleased with how his masterpiece came full circle in the collaboration between these two great talents

Fazioli or Steinway! They do seem to sound slightly different to me...

True, to my ears, the Steinway sounds a bit 'Darker', the Fazioli 'Brighter', but a nice contrast of timbres/tones, in any event.

Centrotoma, I don't get all this "too academically" kind of talk. What is wrong with the way he plays? Are you aware that Lang Lang has been criticized for emoting TOO much in performances?
