The problem with Islam is that it is a religion and in modern liberal Western society religions automatically are given a certain measure of respectability and legal immunity which doesn't apply to other groups. The PA’s number of males under 18 seems to be too large (especially since it claims earlier that 49.2% are female and 50.8% male). It’s possible, but mathematically improbable. One thing I noticed is that the PA provides statistics in 5-yr age increments (0-5, 5-9, 10-14, 14-19, etc.). It is highly likely that they are including the 14-19 year old age cohort. Additionally, the Population Pyramid in Palestine graph does not seem to clarify these numbers. Again, I think that any numbers put out by the Palestinian Authority (PA) or Gaza Health Ministry (Hamas) need to be taken with a grain of salt.
