Reuniting the director, writer and stars of Forrest Gump, Here is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the most relatable of human experiences. Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Castaway, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Contact, Back to the Future) directs from a screenplay by Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, Killers of the Flower Moon, Dune, A Star is Born) and him. Told much in the style of the acclaimed graphic novel by Richard McGuire on which it is based, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright star in a tale of love, loss, laughter and life, all of which happen right Here.
Directed by: Robert Zemeckis
Screenplay by: Eric Roth & Robert Zemeckis
Based on the graphic novel by: Richard McGuire
Produced by:
Robert Zemeckis
Jack Rapke
Derek Hogue
Bill Block
Executive Producers:
Jeremy Johns
Andrew Golov
Thom Zadra
Cast:
Tom Hanks
Robin Wright
Paul Bettany
Kelly Reilly
Michelle Dockery
This film is rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association for the following reasons: thematic material, some suggestive material, brief strong language and smoking.
Credits not final.

I've lived in the same house for 52 years. I know what it's like to experience time unfold in one space. People and pets come and go. Bush turns to farms, to land subdivisions, to houses on acreage, to added community infrastructure. Trees in backyards disappear to accommodate more houses on smaller blocks. Apartments creep in. People are born and die, young and old. Love is found and lost, or remains beyond the grave. Thoughts evolve from simple to complex, then simple again. Longtime residents grow from infancy to one of the few remaining custodians of local history. A living witness to time on Earth. 🌏 An explorer of time, charting a course that can only be travelled once. ⏳

The thing is, you don't really think of the dinosaurs and forests and all that that may have occupied the same exact spot you're standing all those years ago, that things can change so much, that even the recognizable was once unrecognizable.
@NigelMarston
@NigelMarston Күн бұрын
@@clipstuffreturns8295 Thing is, the land beneath your feet isn't necessarily the same land that the dinosaurs trod on. Over the large scale of time since the dinosaurs, the land has moved, and in some cases has risen, fallen, flooded and washed away. It's a nice sentiment though. I remember watching the end scene of the Battlestar Galactica TV series, when they landed on earth 150,000 years ago and I wondered if there would have been any geological markers there back then that could be recognised today.

I haven't watched a movie in the theaters since 2021, I'm definitely going to have to see this when it comes out. Being someone who has seen many Robert Zemeckis-directed films, this seems like a must-watch for me. Also, huge credit to the person who used Yes' 'I've Seen All Good People' in this trailer, hearing it while watching this trailer made me tear up and I don't think I've ever gotten emotional over a trailer in my life before. Loving Prog-Rock, I used to listen to Yes for years and I can say their music makes me emotional sometimes. It's awesome to see their music getting recognition again. Great stuff!

In the original graphic novel, that the movie is based on, different parts of the house are seen at different points of history concurrently. So a character might be standing in the 1960s version of the room but the TV will look like it's from 1990, and so on.

Everyone keeps talking about the de-aging process, but I’m more compelled by the framing device. Just as I was compelled by the graphic novel it’s based on. To have a static shot in that format is one thing - it can be expected. To have it in a wide release, over 90 minute, big budget studio film is daring. I’m really looking forward to this.

@@traydaniel0403 Obviously Forrest Gump is great. But Zemeckis hasnt matured as a filmmaker since Cast Away. He's playing with CGI without trying to learn any new storytelling techniques. All he has to do is study other filmmakers. But hes being arrogant and stubborn, and his movies seem to be stuck in the past technologically because of it. Zemeckis was a real innovator, next to Cameron, Spielberg and Scorsese back in the day. Now, he's more of a has-been than any of them
