I would have used boiled linseed oil on the handles, I have never tried tung oil except as a floor finish.

The last mallot I’m pretty sure is just a two part stick. Why not just make a one part stick? Or just use a stick?

The only chisel work I do is opening paint/finish cans. lol

What about rotor bits and metals? Do you need special bits?
