In this episode I provide the history of the Honda Element, an outdoors-themed SUV that debuted in 2003 and lasted until 2011. Its controversial styling was a turn-off for many, but those who didn't mind how it looked instead loved its versatility, with its wide opening doors with no B pillars, and rubber floors and cloth seats that were water resistant. It was geared for the Gen X/Y crowd, but many older buyers also liked it, despite the advertising that was definitely geared towards younger buyers. But those younger buyers often could not afford it, and SUV's weren't nearly as popular then as they are today, so many think it was simply made before its time.
