Yess, everything is possible with the vegan diet! Load up on protein-rich foods like lentils, beans, tofu, and edamame. Don't forget about grains like quinoa and bulgur for a protein boost! Supplementing with pea or hemp protein shakes can be a convenient way to meet your protein goals. And, of course, load your plate with colorful veggies for a nutrient-packed punch. Consistency, a well-balanced diet, and effective training - that's the vegan muscle-building trifecta!

I completely agree. I was 56 before going Vegan. I was basically on my deathbed until a Vegan came into my life. At that time 9 years ago I wasn't familiar with any junk Vegan foods so I ate whole foods plant based and within 1 month my body healed leaving my chatterbox doctor completely speechless. Since then I've been consuming Vegan junk food and although at 65 now I'm still extremely healthy, I can feel a difference between living whole foods plant based and Vegan processed foods. I love Vegan processed foods but I commit myself to 80% WFPB. I'm still fitter, stronger, faster than any non Vegan I know 15 years younger. Look at all those full hospitals around the world full of people eating a non Vegan diet and thinking they're eating healthy foods - if their diet was healthy. They wouldn't be in hospital (obviously excluding most accident victims)

Its a lot pricier, but thats fine for me since we only eat meat maybe once a weak or sometimes Pizza or Sushi ^^
@lifespanwellnessbeauty-60i648 ай бұрын
Wholefoods plant-based eating is a different nutrition plan than veganism. People confuse these terms all of the time. For example, you described the difference right up front, but you still referted to it as a vegan diet. Veganism is based on a philosophy of treating animals with respect as equals by not eating them or harming them. It also relates to improving greenhouse gasses, etc. Vegans generally won't touch anything to eat or wear that comes from an animal or even an insect, such as leather, honey, silk etc. However, they like to eat food that mimics the taste and feel of animal products such as "vegan" cheese, cream sauce, chicken nuggets and the like. WFPB eaters eat plant-based for health's sake rather than avoiding animal products due to concerns about harming/killing animals. They don't attempt to mimic using animal-based products by formulating ways to make plant-based products taste like animal products. I wish people would stop using these terms interchangeably because they are not the same.
@josemontemayor48228 ай бұрын
TY!... I say if people want to enjoy the taste of animal foods as a vegan. They're doing it wrong. Considering the preservatives and chemicals, etc. That may be used to produce this, vegan steak, for example. If you really like steak, enjoy a steak. But if you detest the inhumane slaughter of animals for our benefit. Then why not just let it go as part of the "old you". Wdyt?

@sophiabirbas6986 Жыл бұрын
Tofu yes is man made but it is made by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks. It is minimally processed and does not contain preservatives. However, preservatives like nisin are often used on tofu to prevent it from growing Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause foodborne illness symptoms. Overall, tofu is a healthy food that can bring several health benefits. It is naturally gluten-free and low in calories. It contains no cholesterol and is an excellent source of iron and calcium. It is an important source of protein, especially for vegans and vegetarians. It also contains isoflavones such as phytoestrogens which may help protect against some cancers, heart disease, and osteoporosis
