Here's my Loxodont Gameplay from Rivals 2 at Genesis X

I know it's not Tuesday. I'm declaring it Tuesday O'Clock so you can have some bonus content.
This is gameplay from me playing Rivals 2 at Genesis. First two games are me trying Loxodont out for the first time and the rest of the games are from my tournament run at Genesis. I ended up placing 65th/256 players.
I hope you enjoy my ramblings on Rivals 2. I think it's a sweet game and I'm looking forward to when it comes out.

Super excited for the beta tests! It sounds like it is only going to be available a few days at a time for each beta round, but those days are going to be amazing

thanks for uploading this! although, i wouldve liked to hear the actual audio that your camera captured while you were playing these matches instead of just rivals 1 songs for the last 30 minutes of the video. it's nice to hear the players talking to each other as they play, spectators cheering, game sound effects, etc.

That's fair. The audio isn't the greatest though but I can understand why you'd want that instead.

Thanks for uploading this. I’d want to see where loxodonts meta is now so I have a better understanding of him when the game comes out. I am 100% mainiwng him immediately. He’s too cool not too

Loxo will be my main in Rivals 2, he has alot of what i want from a character, heavy with a weapon, standing still in lava and be more reaction based in such ways, realy like his moves alot, i main Ridley in Smash so going to Loxo will be easy beside no more 3 jumps!

He feels like Ridley except much faster which I think is a great thing.

My only worry about rivals 2 is about the modding scene for it. I feel like the only reason that rivals 1 was as popular as it was was because of the huge modding scene for that game, and that was mostly because the game was 2d and had a pixel art artstyle that was easy to replicate. I just hope that rivals 2 has as good mod support for it as the original game has.

I don't think rivals 2 will have a great mod scene, ever. 3D is inherently too hard. I also disagree that RoA's popularity relied only on the modding scene. It did, but that wasn't all of it. I also think Rivals 2 can be as popular even without mods, because it has a different appeal. Especially because it looks so similar to smash ultimate, the most popular fighting game of all time. It's also the only indie fighter that looks even remotely similar / close to ultimate.

It's not out yet lol. He went to an event to play it. That's why it's a little scuffed The game drops in the Fall

Did you fund the Kickstarter so tou get to play earlier? They're going to he dropping beta tests in the upcoming months (Q2)

Is Rivals 2 going to be more like Smash Ult? I heard that Rivals 1 was more like melee and that game is too hard for me so I'm hoping that Rivals 2 is a bit dumbed down like Ult is to melee lol.

It's inherently harder than Ultimate but I feel like as you get more used to it it will actually feel easier than Ultimate in many ways.
