I’m SO glad Lauren Velez brought up the centuries-old, colorism & discrimination issue-in the Latino community. They still discriminate against the darker/mixed-Africans😐. This happens in Indian culture, also (despite millions of DARK-CHOCOLATE Tamil people being the oldest Indians, via their ancient African relatives in Adaman and Nicobar Islands). There are many “Latinos” who are mostly Spaniard (Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, John Leguizamo, Mark Anthony). But millions who have mixed-African heritage (Lauren Velez, ROSIE PEREZ, Zoe Saldana, Don Omar, Celia Cruz, Melky Cabrera, “Shabba Doo” Quinones, Belcalis/ “Cardi B”….Romeo Santos of “Aventura”…etc.). “I Like It Like That (1994)” is one of my favorite films. I’ve seen that film a hundred times, since I rented it-via Blockbuster Video-in the Spring of 1995 (the end of my Freshman year @ Howard University). Little did I know the star of the film (Lauren Velez) would soon join the cast of my favorite Thursday night show, “New York Undercover”.

"New York Undercover" was and IS ICONIC! I watched it from Episode 1 right until the senseless, stupid end. That show was the blueprint for every other cop show filmed outside of a Hollywood back lot that came after, particularly, "The Wire." Thank you Tamron for putting them back into each other's lives after 25 years and back into ours! ❤❤❤

I GET EMOTIONAL SEEING THIS CAST. ESPECIALLY LUNA COZ SHE LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE MY MOM - GOD REST HER SOUL. I GREW UP ON THIS SHOW AND SO MANY OTHER ICONIC AMERICAN PRODUCTIONS. 30 YEARS LATER MY INTEREST IN TRUE CRIME DOCUMENTARIES IS SO CONSISTENT WITH MY LOVE FOR THIS SHOW. I WANTED MALIK TO BE MY DAD SO BAD COZ MINE WASN'T AROUND.

From 1989 to 1999 FOX was the number one network in the country. Go back and look at the roster of shows and cartoons that network had back in the 90s. Nothing compares today to FOX in the 90s. Back when TV was TV. New York Undercover was one of those shows that gave FOX enormous ratings. You know one thing that gets overlooked about New York Undercover? The musical artists, and the guest actors and actresses that appeared on the show. I think that's one aspect that made New York Undercover such a great show. Please by all means, do not remake New York Undercover. It would not work in today's world, and I can name several reasons why it wouldn't. This show was a had a Hip Hop theme to it. The way Hip Hop is today hell no don't bring it back. The world has changed since 1994.

Exactly Her name is Patricia D'Arbanville This isn't the whole cast The Lieutenant was a big part of the show. They didn't even have female Lieutenants on police dramas in the 80s and 90s accept for S. Epatha Merkerson on Law and Order They don't have George Gore who played Maliks son Michael Michelle who played his girlfriend

Thank you Tamara Hall for putting on New York Undercover reunion it was so great seeing all three together because now there's so many people have passed away and you only see a few people in a group of the shoulder that came from and I'm glad they're still doing good and they're still doing their thing Dave a little bit but they still look good thank you Tamara so much that's one of my favorite shows from New York Undercover was they hit just like living single still is and don't forget the girlfriends that's still on too reruns hey we got this we had to go on back in the seventies eighties and nineties oh yes we did Those Were the Days of Thunder nowadays you can't find nothing on TV worthwhile is sitcoms you can't find nothing same with the 30 minutes not to me it ain't🎉❤

Still watching to this day, streaming it on prime, but the fourth season onward wasn’t the same with the cast change the theme music changed the show didn’t have the same essence as in season one.
