Here’s the BOMB that went off in this 4L60E Video 2-2...Definitely a HOLY S**T after pulling the pan and tearing it down it’s amazing that this thing even moved in under its own power. Gonna take a little bit more work to get this one done, but still nothing we can’t handle. I hope everyone enjoys thanks for watching. 👍🏼❤️🙏🏼

I wish I had my 75 power wagon still. I’d send the 727 to your shop quick! It had been rebuilt twice. Did not last very long the first time. I went to a local shop in Fairbanks Alaska where I was stationed and the shop I brought it to shafted me pretty good. The second time a friend of a friend in fox county worked on it and I had no issues. I later sold the truck to a fellow soldier at my duty station because it was too expensive to ship it back to the lower 48. Contacted the guy I sold it to a few years later and he said the transmission was going out and he had sold the truck. I miss that beautiful truck. Wish I had kept it and sent the transmission to y’all!

I rebuilt my 4L60E years ago for my Roadmaster wagon. I remember at 20 minutes those plastic rings, I think I used a seat clamp, but was thinking you could use a piston ring compressor. Anyway I had one failure on the test drive, the oil pump snapped (part driven by converter). So I got a heavier duty oil pump and was fine ever since. There was a big shell drum had a crack running hallway around it where it meets a shaft, and used an updated stronger drum. And one of the shift coils was open. I did all the upgrades and made good use of the ATSG manual for it. Still working good.

First tranny I ever did was a 4l60e I bought the truck with a blown tranny and had no money to buy a new tranny so I bought a rebuilt kit. I remember one of the clutch packs still had a date printed on the actual clutch material even after having 130k miles on it I couldn’t believe it. The 3/4 clutches were burnt. It worked great for 3 years until the one planet blew out. I’m sure the washers we’re probably gone on the planet but I didn’t know any better to check them. I remember getting it almost back together just about to put the pump on and I found the anti clunk spring (or whatever it’s called) was on the bench so I had to take it back apart. I had no idea where it went this was back when KZfaq was pretty new so I watched videos for hour’s until I found a video showing it lol
