Mazda is such an underrated brand

@rue de bac I've been looking around (for a car) and so far I've found mostly positive remarks about Mazda's reliability. (I would recommend a private lease anyway, no matter the brand or reliability. We had a Ford private lease before, and the amount of concern it takes away is a definite positive impact on the experience. Just a single cashflow which makes budgeting easier. No worries about maintenance/unforeseen costs.)

@rue de bac they are very reliable, I think the reason they are not known for that is because Toyota and Honda are big companies and spent lots of money every year to make sure everyone knows that, Mazda on the other hand is a much smaller company and focuses mostly on the fun of driving and for people who appreaciate that, instead of trying to convince every consumer

Best in class without a doubt. I had 128k trouble-free miles on mine before I traded it in. Original brakes & battery!. All I did was change the oil, filters and tires. just drive it! Great car.

Mazda is the choice for my family's compact crossover. I don't care if its boot is below average. What matters is the look, individuality and driving pleasure. If you want to howl many things buy or rent a pickup. For groceries and family trip the space is fine.

The towing capacity of the 2.5T is actually pretty good for the vehicle's size: 2,000 pounds. That's better than the Nissan Rogue (1,100) or the Toyota RAV4 gas (1,500) or hybrid (1,750) models.

Now this is getting us more excited in the household. We just ordered a CX5 Signature in Soul Crystal Red because it is the most gorgeous-looking SUV and so fun to drive. We don't see a lot of cx5s here in Switzerland (German premium cars are more common) but when we do, it surely is a head turner. Cool review and I just subscribed! :-)

I tested this vehicle and loved it. Awesome drive. However, I am not a small person and found the seats way to firm. My hips were uncomfortable. The only reason this is out of contention is the discomfort sitting in the cabin. If you are thin, and don’t have a generous derrière, then you will love this car.

Own a 2017 Mazda cx 5. Great all around. Ride, comfort, design, reliability. Interior design is way above the competition. Super comfortable seats (in my view, this is the major weakness 0f the CRV). The level of standard equipment is a real standout. (The mid trim is the best deal.) The safety equipment works well. Never had a false alarm (unlike some of the competition).The fact that it is slightly smaller than the competition is a plus (bigger is not always better). The automatic high beam works incredibly well. This should be a top consideration for anyone who lives away from well lighted cities.

The CX-5 is the best cuv out there hands down and they still come with the automatic transmission no CVT transmission crap! The only other cuv I would even consider is Acura RDX point blank period but I don't like the idea of a timing belt in 2019\2020 which means more money spent maintenance wise over a period of time!

Currently driving a 2018 cx5 Gand Touring and I sometimes wonder how does a car with so many features not have a locking glovebox with a light in it. It’s seems like a small thing that I didn’t even notice until a week later and asked the dealership. I’m hoping the dealer was wrong but apparently none of the models have them. How does a car have cooling seats and heads up display but no light in the glovebox? It’s strange to omit such a basic and expected item. 🤔

I'm surprised that a feature that many seem to want in the back area-a single plane-is never featured in car videos. Subaru took the idea, of a flat single plane behind the driver and ran with it. They made their Outback available with a custom fit mattress for those want to rest in the back ,on a mattress, on a FLAT surface, without having to contend with the step that is so prevalent when back seats are down. The 2016 Venza is the only other vehicle I've seen with this feature. So here's yet another car video that does not address this must-have, starting point of interest that drives my vehicle search. Still, I enjoyed what was included and the presentation. Best to you with your channel and the fine looking Mazda.

I have the 2013 Mazda CX-5. 105K miles. Only issue so far was hatch latch which cost me $50 to replace and add silicone sealant to keep water out. The biggest problem: I didn't get the trim I wanted thinking I'd return it after the lease and I didn't get AWD which I need now.

Smooth drive, better handling, less noise, great infotainment and for our purposes the 2.5 liter naturally aspirated is perfectly fine. The red soul crystal is an amazing finish. The seats are more comfortable and the interior is really fine-tuned with excellent quality materials. Low price tag and I got the oil change for free for life from my dealer.

Just bought a 2019 CX-5 new. Nice car, sharp looking, rides nice although a little firm. The one thing he missed and so did I is there is no USB outlet upfront underneath the display. This is significant because you have to plug your phone in Under the armrest and run the USB cord to the front in order to have some place to put your phone unless you want to put it in the cupholder which is ridiculous. I let the dealer now and they confirm they’ve had complaints about that. A miss on Mazdas part.

My wife just got the Reserve and even I love it! It's really fast, comfortable and sporty. Some of the things I dislike or hate are the door handles. They have that button you have to press to ulock them, why couldn't they put the ones you just put your hands in the door handle and they automatically unlock! Another is they touch screen, they should have enabled touch while moving, it is hard to use Android Auto while moving and we seem to use more time off the road trying to figure out moving the cursor around than normal with this system. To me this is a HUGE flaw, and my most annoying thing about it. Other options is no remote start and third, I think they should have made the 360 camera an option on the Reserve if not standard.
@ConnecticutDashcam
@ConnecticutDashcam 5 жыл бұрын
The command controller makes the whole system so much easier and much less distracting to use. I can’t think of any reason having to pinpoint and reach on a touch screen would be easier or less distracting than the controller. Reasoning with the door handle buttons is if you have passengers you can unlock for them immediately rather than having to get in first and then hit unlock

I have owned the mazda cx5 gtr for one week and what a mistake. The drivers seat is the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced and I have driven some real cheap old cars in the past. Terrible and now I'm stuck with a vehicle I dont even want to sit in. Hard leather seats with hard bolsters. Any suggestions

I have had a 2018 Mazda CX-5 for over a year and I hate the front seat. I am not a big man. 5'9" 180 lbs. But the bolsters are too aggressive and narrow and after a while, they really hurt my shoulder blades. I should have test drove for like 2 hours. Other than that, I like the car.

They made significant improvement starting with the 2017 model year. Mazda added about 100 pounds of sound-deadening insulation and carpeting throughout the vehicle. Another popular reviewer who takes decibel readings measured the 2017/2018 model at 70 db @ 50 MPH, which was very good for that compact SUV market.

How are Mazda’s reliability wise when compared to Toyota and Honda? I’m heavily debating getting a 2019-2021 rav4 because of the new body style but the cx5 seems like an appealing option and I can get an older year at a cheaper price.

Mazda have already replaced the infotainment for future models. Regarding panoramic sunroof, Mazda have always be firm that it adds too much weight. But Mazda also listens to customers on a regular basis. A complaint today is a feature tomorrow. Being so small, I've seen complaints hit fixes on factory floor in under a year. Mazda used to put foot down about using turbos, then added one to the CX-9 after many requested turbos. Then then stood firm saying it would never make the CX-5, until many customers complained..... then it appeared.
