00:25 pro Tipp: when you have to take measurements for round things or curves, allways flip your measureband to the side (dont hold it flat) thatway your measurement gets more precise and its far easier to work your way around the curves 😘 p.s. i love your projects 👍🏼

Making a heavier quilt is such a great idea! I've tried making a quilt once and it didn't have the "heft" of the quilts I used in childhood... I wonder if the batting of those hefty quilts was actually fabric, instead of the lofty batting I used.

I am from India , in particularly our region, What we do is collects all scraps...old clothes work too...remove seams if any to avoid bumps... Make a blanket case (similar to pillow case) , Lay all the scrap clothes in even layers, turn the blanketcase inside out in a way that layers are not disturbed....and then without moving it too much...and handstitch all around the blanket.... I absolutely love the heavy and warm feel of this blanket. I guess quilt is the same? Not sure about it though...

If it sags you fluff it by rolling it around to redistribute the insides, it's gonna last way longer than poly fill, and it's probably very heavy and dense, unlike poly fill which is mostly air which compacts easily and doesn't really ever fluff up entirely it's all fabric, so its much sturdier too

I do the same thing with m scraps. I have a big box that I dump my scarp fabric & thread into, then use it for pillows, pincushions, padding, and so on. The first pillow I made actually wound up being the perfect thickness and density to either put under my head on nights that I sleep on my back, or prop up my hand on side-sleeping nights. (Yes, I need a hand-pillow, because all my joints are hypermobile, and my wrists and knees in particular will get overstretched and out-of-whack if not given proper support/kept at the correct angles.)
