Weeks of research, over a month of editing. I hope you guys learn something valuable. I don't want to scare anyone, I don't want to fear monger, I'm not going to pitch you an expensive solution. I just want to give my perspective. My greatest hope is that we turn it around and continue to be the strongest society on earth for as long as we can know. Great video! I've lived in USSR during it's collapse and unfortunately it didn't matter how much money you had before the collapse as money became devalued in 1 night and this is not something you can prepare for by hoarding more money. Ownership of property also relies on a stable government, so when it collapsed a lot of businesses and capital changed hands very quickly. What was really important during that crisis is to have people around you, to have good connection and be as close to the center of things as possible. Moving out to the neglected countryside during the crisis means risking ending up without any protection when a group of well armed people decide to take over your mansion. So, great video, but the advice in the end is surprising.

They have been saying this from day one. Yes Russia, China, etc are giving it their all in a subversive attack on the U.S. But we all know how it work and what they are doing. Unlike when the CCCP came to power. The simple fact that America has the most oil in the World and The highest quality of oil in the world means it will not lose power. Then when you add little thin like the U.S. have 3 x more water systems that can be navigated, then the rest of the World combined, makes it a powerhouse alone. ( Can you say the cheapest shipping in the World? ) America has the best farm land in the World. It grows wheat with the highest protean all the way to sugar and organs. America has massive amounts of minerals. Really it has everything and it has large amounts of it. No America will not be stepping to the side anytime soon. Just look at everything China and Russia or other nations are lacking. I still love hearing clowns say this to this very day. We have been hearing this for hundreds of years. I am sure we will hear this for hundreds of years to come.

I also don't think Americans understand that if the system goes down, even if they have some food there are other things that will get you...like having hygiene standards slip without clean water, good food/vitamins, and regular electricity. Or how often they interface with the healthcare system to get antibiotics and scans and surgeries...all things that you cannot medically treat at home that can happen randomly despite your best efforts to stay healthy (because life is that way). I also think they don't get how nasty human beings quickly get when they are genuinely stressed and hungry. They all seem to either deny that anything could ever happen, or they think they are some prepper fortress that would be island unto themselves which is so not realistic. **I also wonder about all the people that use welfare to live off of as they will be the first cut off, and they have built a multi generational lifestyle around using the govt system to make a living for free.

@@mailobiker9525exactly! Mexico is such a great example. Growing up I though people came from Mexico to make a better life in America. I spent a lot of time in Mexico starting when I was about 10 years old thanks to my parents having a time share. Then in my early thirties I started consulting in Mexico helping open breweries. I learner real quick how hungry the young Mexicans were for success. Now at almost 40 I have learned from this experience. I was successful with my business and sold it a few years back. I have invested that money in Mexico and other developing countries. Once America finally fails, I will be setup to be unaffected.

Seb, I'm Argentinian and I loved this video. Our country has been a mess for the last 40 years. We live in the most comfortable society, our people spend their lifes working a 7-3, abusing social benefits and having the least healthy lifestyles. The new president, Javier Milei, claims to change all this, by eliminating the social benefits, making people work and introducing the USD to the economy. I think there's going to be a cultural WAR, literally. Nobody wants to work in this country, first of all because is not well paid, and second because people are f**ng lazy. Thanks for making this video, I'm sorry that your country is going through the same.

@@gellersalamanca And this mindset is the result of a comfortable life. When times are desperate, the strong, the clever and the smart are separated from the weak, lazy and stupid. It's a microcosm of nature's ability to weed the weak from the gene pool and regulate populations. This exact cycle is seen in nature as well. So hard times come and they will progressively get harder. Eventually, the corrupt, weak, lazy and stupid are culled and their numbers shrink. Strong, innovative, smart people rise. People begin working harder, building more, innovating more. Times begin improving and improving and improving ... Times get better and better and better. Eventually, each successive generation becomes accustomed to the lifestyle's afforded to them by the previous generations whom struggled and worked so hard to make them possible. What made them possible is forgotten. The reasons for certain things are forgotten. The bar is raised so high that the population doesn't even know what actual hardship, trauma, pain and struggle actually are. They become weaker, lazier, more easily corruptible and stupid. And as a result, things inevitably begin to crumble and the wheel turns ...the cycle repeats itself. And this isn't some imaginative idea. It's seen in history again and again and again and again. It's pages are written in blood. Trust me, when you lose EVERYTHING and the only way to make a living is a choice between working or dying (starvation, freezing, etc), you'll figure out which camp you're in pretty quickly.

But, very few remember it. Even more forgotten the wars, forgotten the depression and many just refuse to listen because they are content in their little bubbles bickering over pathetic, stupid, pointless things. Only those who listen, and research, and implement will come out of this better. Sadly, millions will die, violence will be astronomical and value of life will be nothing. It is a long road back to greatness and we must not forget what freedom felt like and fight for it. this was a fantastic post, thank you for all you hard work, research, and for trying to help others.

I don’t think the US will become an Argentina. I think the US will most likely go to war, run out of money halfway through, ban trade with China and start manufacturing at home, then we will likely win the world war and have a huge manufacturing base at home meaning we will have good manufacturing jobs along with our current good office jobs. This will allow the government to tax people to pay down the debt and the economy will grow since we won’t be supporting the entire third world while exporting our jobs overseas. Likely the US will shrink our military budget and use that to pay off the debt in this world as europe and China are left to fend for themselves geopolitically. We can’t afford to protect the world and feed Africa. Feeding Africa just made more Africans who needed it be fed. Protecting the world’s trade just shipped our jobs away. Argentina is a one trick pony. The US is an innovation juggernaut along with being resource rich. We were a manufacturing juggernaut pre 1980 as well. We’ve declined there but we can have all 3 again. The world can buy American SUVs and American washing machines again 🤷‍♂️

Exceptional video. I can tell a lot of time and effort went into this and I truly appreciate it! I believe this is the first video I’ve seen from you and I will definitely be subscribing! As someone who is studying urban planning and political science but has a keen interest in global affairs, I do want to play the devils advocate. Although I do agree with all of the points you made in this video, I feel like there were some key factors I would like to hear you engage with. For example, the US is a nation that many other nations rely on whether that be for economic or military support. So if I accept all of the points you brought up, I would also have to accept that many other nations may succumb to the same type of demise. Although other states would obviously have autonomy to face these challenges in a different way, do you think that the fall of the USA will also mean the downfall of its allies and therefore greater society? This brings me to my next talking point which is globalization. I have not yet read the book you mentioned in this video but I do look forward to reading it. With that in mind, I believe the book brings up great ideas and has a great track record of being historically accurate; But, I do wonder how the internet, technology, and the degree in which nations are reliant on each other for even essential goods plays into all of this. When the US falls it will be very different than the fall of Argentina or Germany due to globalization and I was wondering if you think that globalization could be a mechanism to either alleviate or expand the challenges that the US will face? My last critique may seem like a radical proposition but stay with me. Is it possible that AI will be able to prevent the collapse of the US from even occurring? We all know the sci fi stories of it completely destroying society, but likely, it will just be an exceptionally powerful entity that could theoretically solve the complex challenges brought forth in this video. Even if you don’t buy this argument due to the stage in which AI is currently in, by the time you suggest the US may fail in a couple decades, AI will only be more powerful, more intelligent, and more capable of solving advanced socioeconomic problems. Additionally, the US is currently home to many of the institutions/corporations developing this technology putting it in a good position to harness its power. I would love to hear your thoughts on this! Again, a seriously great video, I just feel like the talking points in my comment might make for good discussion or a future video!

One major way of hedging against this by my opinion that was not spoken of in the video is manufacturing and manufacturing inside the US with basic products, making the manufacturing as closely as possible to self-sufficiency and robotic if you can produce something robotically and self-sufficiency, then that is a major hedge against this, because even in a downturn people are going to need food water and products this in itself will help slow down the process and have built-in resilience to a complete economic meltdown

The other issue in places like Argentina is that if the rest of the world follows the ignore the poor rules, then you cant run your government in a caring way. Competition rules, not care. Pharma is a business. They lobby for you to get and stay sick or mentally ill. They lobby to supress knowledge that toxins cause disease, brain damage and mental disability. Pollution is making people sick but wont be stopped. There is too much money being made both by making products that are toxic, emit toxins or leave legacy toxins behind. Reality check! PFOA-Teflon killed people , not Covid. Non toxic farm land is what should be invested in right now. Farms are getting shut down for food production with more to come. Toxic sludge was used as fertilizer.

Yeah it's important to actually have that reserve even for basic emergencies now, look at what happened in Buffalo because some people weren't able to stock up, many starved during those snow storms. The situation in the US and the world economy is dire. As you say, we are in the apparent later stages of American global dominance but we could turn it around if we had the will to do so. If you look at China, that civilization has gone through this collapse cycle many times. So, America could do the same. Will we? I don't know but I sure hope so. We are going to have some very rough times ahead. We must have the strength to weather those storms and to exercise prudence in domestic and international affairs. People like to compare America to the Roman Empire all the time, for obvious reasons. Heck, even our government and architecture of Washington D.C is heavily influenced by the founders' affection for the Roman Republic. I think people get it wrong in thinking we are like the falling Roman Empire. We have elements of Imperial power and have projected that power around the world but I'd say we more closely resemble the latter stages of the Roman Republic. All we need is a competent strong man to push us into another phase. I don't want to see that; however, it looks like we may go in that direction. Benjamin Franklin, when asked by a prominent Philadelphia socialite, what kind of country would we have after the Constitutional Convention, said, "A republic, if you can keep it." I think that question is still relevant today. Can we keep it? No, I don't think the Trump is that strong man nor do I blame January "Sixthers" for America's potential slide into authoritarianism. I blame America's elites for their greed and decadence, the Military Industrial Security complex for their desire for global hegemony, and the American people for their disinterest and apathy towards our government and the fate of our fellow citizens . We, the American people, have been distracted and placated by breads and circuses from our elites while our country has been robbed and poorly governed by those same elites. Fortunately, I see some hope of reform and change as people become more aware of what is going on. How will it turn out? We could go the same route as the Late Roman Republic and vote our "Caesar" into a perpetual dictatorship. We could have a rapid collapse like Soviet Union or slow gradual decline like the Western Roman Empire in the 4th and 5th centuries or we could do what the plebes did in the early Roman Republic -- We could do a "Secessio" of the plebes and force our modern day Patricians to treat us better. Personally, I hope for that outcome. Lastly, we could have a Civil War. That has been talked about a lot lately. Having served in the US military and seen what real civil wars are like, I hope I never have to see that again.

I think we all can relate since I think all of us know a guy in school that procrastinates while knowing multiple exams are coming up. They choose to indulge in their social life while pushing back their responsibility as a student. In that scenario I also question why they decided to become a student if they are going to neglect their academic responsibilies.

The other is the mass shootings; EVERYONE KNOWS that a normal healthy society does not ACCEPT THAT kind of violence but there is ABSOLUTELY NOBODY that wants to talk about the ABNORMALITY of mass shootings. The DEBT. I'm from the school of Keynesian economics that subscribed to the understanding that government borrowing was NOT a bad thing as modern day capitalist economics accepts economic cycles and thus modern economics understands that the "last borrower" government alone has the ability to try to "smoothe" out the rolling curves of the economic cycle....... THAT SAID..... the present borrow, borrow, BORROW has NOTHING to do with economic cycle and exists ONLY on the reality of the petrodollar that gives the MASSIVE LIE that "USofA is too big too fail and petrodollar will prevent that"........... UTTER ABSURDITY.....

Divide and conquer, it is so simple, Roman empire was divided and conquered, U.S is currently divided and it started to fall some years ago.

The saddest part is that until recently, humans havent been naturally greedy and have survived thousands and collaborated together to survive thousands and thousands of years under diffefent but still complex social systems. I think human psyche has irreprably changed.
