I just don’t think Bobby has head coach mentality or personality, he seems completely fine letting demeco coach and run the defense while Bobby has the offense. He just comes off as a coordinator

Agreed. Maybe that changes over time but right now, seems like he just wants to nerd out on football, call plays and let DeMeco do the heavy lifting, and why not? The guy has the guns for it 🦾😂

Why not try it though? Way more money and opportunities. If he doesn’t do so well he will get an OC job somewhere else. There is no downside taking a HC job if people want him. Can you imagine a parent telling their child not to take a great opportunity?

@@SmoothLounge7 I think he should go try to coach grown men and he will fail he’s just not that guy, sure he’s good with qbs and offense but running everything? I don’t think so. I’d love to see him go try bc I know he’ll fail and come back to Houston w his bruddah demeco

In 2022 Slowik was a passing game assistant. This is his first year at the OC level. Is he really ready for the HC spot?

yes he is, he just needs to hire an oc and dc and focus on head coaching duties. many first year head coaches end up being the Coordinators also and that end up become too much work.

@@panchotheaddict420 no he’s not . He’s just learning the play calling aspect of this game. The Carolina loss was a perfect example of why he’s still needs some more experience. The offense looked anemic in that game and they ultimately lost at the end to a team that they should have beaten easily. Plus the struggles when Stroud went down in the two games Stroud didn’t play. He’s very young and he’s in the perfect position to grow and get better with Demeco and Stroud . No need to rush anything or go to a bad situation and end up getting fired . Look at Carolina. The owner is impatient and has fired 3 head coaches in 3 years. Build his resume a few seasons and then pursue that .

People in Seattle want Slowik or Johnson and the offense is set up to do just fine. He could come in and have a bad season with a struggling defense and likely have no concerns about loosing his job because as long as he can continue to develope and help the team head in a different direction he is doing his job.

If he gets the opportunity to go to the bears that honestly the best place to go to. They have draft capital they will get a bit for fields and they have talent everyone but the O line and they will be getting Caleb Williams. And they have cap space

Tennessee seems to always want Texans coaches for some odd reason . Vrabel and Tim Kelly both came from the Texans . They wear oilers jerseys and etc.

@@johnmcguire1734 That is because idiot power monger Vrabel would only hire his old friends from New England and Houston who were yes men to his demands. Then when they failed, he would fire them as scapegoats when his own seat got warm. Good riddance! I;m so ready for new blood in here with modern fresh ideas for offense.

Anyone who states Slowik is not HC material are being WAY premature in that assessment. I hear some teams want to interview him but that's just a matter of filling out the dance card before they hire their guy. I advocated for Slowik as soon as talk started to build about hiring DeMeco and Slowik has not disappointed. But one season as an OC does not comprise a body of work to be considered a HC prospect. Time will tell.

He prob wont leave after only one year at OC to be HC...but Chicago could offer him an AHC/OC posiition where he has some roots and have the chance to possibly coach Caleb who many think has a higher ceiling than CJ.

How is Tennessee pretending to be Houston. They wear the oiler jerseys cause that’s the franchise’s history and you people keep clowning cause they are no longer there. Also when they moved to Tennessee they were the Oilers for the first 2 seasons. Oh by the way you say we are years away from competing again? That’s false, we have the most cap space and honestly it’s a perfect place for the new HC, cause then he will be part of building a team he would want. Nashville is booming and a lot of players are wanting to come here.

So, first play from scrimmage against the Colts and it goes for 79 yards and the TD, that's not impressive to you? I think the system he runs is amazing off the play action. It's wild to me that we'll two and three man routes against seven men in coverage and guys will get wide open. He's also got some learning to do with all those run plays sometimes but he's a rookie and I expect him to get better with time.

@@Dagger-Deep and 3rd.... he's guilty of falling in love with the run too much at times, without a doubt. My both guess and hope is that he goes backs and sees it for himself in the offseason and gets it worked out by next year. With Cleveland's pass rush, they'll definitely be pounding the rock.

think he stays until the Texans get to the superbowl or possibly win a AFC Championship - also i think this is a psychological move to disrupt the Texans in this already high-attention playoff season - teams obviously play the mind games as well…

He can’t do any interviews until the playoffs are over. So unless other playoff teams are under the table paying for them to do that to get him off his game, I don’t think that’s the case honestly. I think they requested this early bc nobody thinks we’re getting past the browns. If that is the case then he can interview when we lose.
