If the battery is dead, well, they climb to the front - once/twice in 10 years. Speedometer - you are right, it should be somewhere in the middle. Blinkers, not so sure - does tesla give an audible signal when the blinkers are on? Then it is more than enough (i do not see the blinkers in our BMW either as the wheels are set to my wife's preference - I just hear them). About not being able to open the trunk while charging - I am not sure it is true. The video said, you cannot open the charging door when the trunk is open (not the same). Even if this is true, I am not sure this is a huuuge issue. First, tesla has two trunks - you can put stuff in the front trunk. Second, most people, in most cases will charge their car at night, at home. Majority of the occasions, they will not charge them at charging stations...

The price tag of $35000 makes decent EV cars available to a whole new demographic that couldn't afford the model s/x. And when it comes to all the controls being on the screen I'm a big fan. It gives the possibility of making the UI better adding extra features at any point in time with just a software update. And to be honest the UI right now are miles ahead of any other car screen system. When it comes to quality Doug seemed impressed, but I guess we'll have to see in long run.

Never forget it when getting IN the car, but I forget my phone all the time getting OUT which is horrific because it means 1) the car isn't locked and 2) anyone could just get in and drive away. Thankfully I've gotten in the habit of checking my pocket and I have never gone too far from the car before realizing but yeah I wish I could find some way to make sure I don't forget it in the car.

What if you never notice someone opens your door as you walk away? Is the owner suppose to walk backwards to make sure the car is locked before he/she fully walks away? Like I said in my comment, the phone app key made the key less functional. Its so much easier to lock the car and walk away. This way *YOU KNOW* its locked when you leave.

It's large, bright, high up and immediately next to the hand on the steering wheel. In fact it's higher and clearer than a speedometer down in a dashboard. I like it a lot. Tons of fun to drive and every passenger I’ve taken in it has been blown away by it. When I was washing it for the first time however, I noticed some imperfections in the paint job that kind of bummed me out. There’s little dots without paint in a few places on the car, not noticeable unless you’re looking for it but I’m still going to take it in to see if they’ll fix it.
