$400/month therapy dog. Strap in and hang on. There is no other sports car or gocart like a Slingshot. 170 hp on a 1700 lb chassis. On-demand tire spin. Rock on. "But Mister, what happens when it rains?"..... "You just concentrate a little harder".

Polaris sucks! Their ATVs are the worst on the market (Honda being the best of course), the can am Spyder/Ryker are much better trikes.

I watch a lot of videos about the slingshot as I have one and really enjoy it. Enjoyed 2 wheels for a long time but age and health made me unsafe. My point so many negative comments but why are they watching so many videos?

Paid $26000 for a tricycle with a Chevy Cavalier engine.......Chevy couldn’t sell them in vehicles with four wheels so......but buddy probably worked hard for it so as long as he’s happy with it more power to him.

Actually looks like a really fun little vehicle to putt around in on a sunny day, BUT judging by the rock music in the video, the owner may think it's way cooler than it actually is. Trikes may be fun, but they're kind of the Segway of the cycle world.

Hopefully the slingshot has a better repair record than Polaris' ATVs and snowmachines, otherwise that thing will spend a lot of time on a lift...

This was very interesting. I loved the video and the drone effect. Honestly this looks way safer than a motorcycle and I would not worry about my men riding in a slingshot. I recently read they are using the slingshot in police departments in Florida.

For $26k get a Miata. It’s 10 times safer because it needs to meet the legal safety requirements. I was looking into the Polaris but the safety concerns turned me off (no airbags or impact standards etc.)

@@TheGregWallace well drag cars are all about acceleration and max torque. They need the most grip possible (huge contact patch coupled with very flexible rubber). But this thing only has 166 lb-ft of torque.

We love our slingshot.. just over 10k on it now.. remember to keep the belt clean or it will make all kinds of weird noises same engine as they used in the chevy cobalt 175 ish hp stock not bad for 1800lbs

Just bought a used 2013 VW golf TDI 6 speed manual with 15,000 miles like new for 12k ..... Runs like a champ ..... Cruising 60 on the highway I'm getting 55 mpg..... That's what I call a awesome DEAL.

I have a 3 wheeled mermaid longboard with a 1.2hp engine trix head kit with j pipe. We clock her at 28mph. All I did was chop a go ped frame in half and mounted it to the longboard. I'll have to email you a video Scotty

Coming from someone who owns a Polaris slingshot you only buy the name and the engine and that's only if you get the SLR version other then that it's just a terrable vehicle. The only kind of racing this is good for I can imagine would be straight line dragracing

I would prefer a four wheel model if they ever made one. The three wheel look is not my thing. The front end is aggressive and desirable but then I step back and look at it overall and I'm deeply disappointed.

I think the guy said it was a 2.5 Liter? No it’s a GM 2.4l Ecotec engine. However he was correct that it is the same engine in many GM cars including the Solstice non-turbo model. The new ones have Polaris engines. Probably quicker revs, but the 2.4 is much cheaper to maintain and you can modify it easily if you want zippier power. However what do you need for something that weighs the same as a go cart. It’s basically all engine now!

It's LE5 2.4 VVT Ecotec engine. They have this engine in the base Chevrolet Cobalt SS 2.4 or LS Sport for the US people.

I get a kick out of people when they say buy American to keep Americans working. Then complain when it cost higher than imports. The imports can charge less because their work force isn’t getting paid much. Not much of an equal playing field. We all want to get paid but don’t want pay to keep Americans working.

Because people will pay it. Why does a Polaris Rzr turbo cost 30K. Because people will pay it. Should either cost that much, no they should not. 26K is how much a new 4x4 truck should cost.

Scooty the other day you compared the Fusion hybrid to the Prius and said they"re basically the same. My friend has the Fusion and it's been in the shop numerous times and she averages 41 mpg combined. My Prius averages about 55 mpg and has never been in the shop except to get oil changes.

Had one roll up next to me in a double left turn lane. We hit it in second gear I was in my 2016 Fiesta ST Not only did I pull on it I then destroyed it through a few corners. The Fiesta Cost less and is a real car.

I still prepare autorickshaw, can ride 3 to 5 passengers + 1 driver instead of slingshot which has only 1 passenger + 1 driver.
