Hi Afzal, love your videos and all of the insights you have provided me and countless others throughout the years! I wanted to ask if you would be able to make a video covering technology divisions in different investment banks as this information is quite hard to come by. With banks like GS and Deutsche claiming to be a tech first bank and the overall trend heading in that direction it would be kind of interesting to see your perspective and some more information in the topic. If you could include things like salaries/work-life/experiences from indivuals in that area it would be phenominal!

Love your videos Afzal! I would love to give you two tips to keep us more engaged. Use animation and maybe even images to show what you are saying cause sometimes I get lost (bullet points for the 10 items is perfect as well) and divide the video in the 10 sections so I can easily see them or skip through them. All the love

Afzal, it’s interesting to see that your channel provides an abundance of information for other areas of finance such as investment banking and sales/trading but lacks the same depth in asset management. I really think there needs to be a balance, especially given you worked in the asset management industry. Where are videos of asset management salaries in each front office faction (investment & sales) like you did for the others? There’s a number of channels/resources out there on investment banking so I think you have a real opportunity to differentiate your model by providing greater insight into other areas of finance. Just some food for thought!

Please make a video on backoffice salaries, and progression. Not everyone wants IBD and its long work hours.

Hi Afzal, love your video it provided me with some great insights for my resume. I have a question for you. I'm in my second year at a community college and received admission to Rutgers Univeristy for the fall 2023 semester. Im interested in going into investment banking. Unfortunately I was unable to secure an internship at an investment banks for this summer mainly due to myself attending a community college. I am waiting to hear back for other internships in finance. Should i apply for a summer internship in my junior year when i will be a rutgers university student or would it be considered too late since i missed out on the sophomore year summer internship. also is there any advice you can give to someone like me in this situation. thanks and i hope you continue making these great video they provide a great insight into the world of investment banking.
