The excel spreadsheet idea with dates and applications is so simple but I wish I did that at uni. Amount of missed deadlines or giving myself 1 day preparation for an application or test or interview.

Hey Afzal, I’m looking at applying for a degree apprenticeship with JP Morgan and similar firms next year and I would appreciate it if you could quickly give me your opinion on how I can make my cover letter and CV stand out from the rest of the applicants. Obviously because I will only just have left sixth form I won’t have had the opportunity to do spring weeks and internships so what extra experiences would you suggest I look for to help my application get accepted. I have just secured some work experience but I would really appreciate any other advice. Thank you for your time and I love the videos, very insightful

Great video, I just feel as if this is pretty unrealistic as most banks don't hire first year students especially do to the fact that the applications open before these students have even started school. Much more opportunities are available second year.

Should I start searching for an internship at a finance-related dept. at a commercial bank (cold-calling, etc)? Because I have no relevant work exp for my spring internship application

Spring weeks - companies don’t expect you to have relevant work experience at this point.
