Heretic Cleric II Disassembly and Reassembly

I disassemble and Reassemble the spectacular Heretic Cleric II OTF knife in Magnacut. Heretic Out the Front knives have captured locks which makes them much easier to maintain than normal OTFs.
Specifications:
Blade length: 4.375"
Overall length: 10"
Handle length: 5.875"
Blade steel: Magnacut
Handle material: Red Aluminum with Stainless Bubble Inlays

Helpful video. One observation, these are assembled with screws not bolts.

Love your videos, very down to earth and to the "point". I have two clerics 2s on the way and this video was very helpful. BTW, I was always curious about the bubble steel inlays. To each their own in terms of looks, but are there any pros to the bubble inlays? I prefer the carbon fiber and rubber grip ones but it seems the bubble ones are really popular!

I think they are mainly a style choice. I think they offer a bit more grip than a flat surface, but mainly just look cool. I like the way they feel.

I have $20 knock-off otfs that are more reliable than my cleric II. Upon disassembly I realized the spring was kinked. I called heretic and they said it was intentional to help with clearance. Has anyone heard of this? The spring in the video doesn't appear kinked. I'd like to think heretic wouldn't flat out lie :(

That sounds odd to me. I didn't notice anything odd about my springs. I will have to take mine apart again to check.

The air hole is for cleaning blowing with compressed air or oiling

Glad you said it. I sent mine to heretic to get worked on and it still doesn't fire reliably

That’s odd. Mines flawless. I’d definitely raise your concerns to them and get it fixed or flat out replaced.

@jt5029 I did send it to heretic to get it looked at but that only made it work about 65% of the time.

What happens if you forget to disarm the blade because I did and now I can’t put it back together the trigger won’t go back into the spring plate i tried just taking it all apart but my blade is stuck I hope my knife isn’t garbage now 😢

You will have to manually disengage the lock and put the blade in the free portion of its play.

No it’s retracted

@tylersynopsiys236 if it is retracted all the way, flip the little lock flipper that is keeping it back and slide it forward an inch or 2. Then you should be able to reassemble it.
