It sounds like dried out rubbers on the doors. The lifts them selves aren't half bad but they sound kind of worn and tired, they are in need of a good maintance / service checkup.

Looks like modernized around the late 1990s, and the floor indicators look a little similar to the ones that can be found on 1980s SEMAG elevators in Finland
