I've been able to use the Herman Miller Sayl a lot over the last four years. I was really curious if they were able to make improvements over the original with their gaming line.

1. Take highend chair 2. Make small restyle. Adding bright acid colors will already be enough. 3. Call it "Gaming" 4. Use as many "gaming" in you promotion as you can. 5. Profit?

There totally are fake office chairs too, they look like office chairs but are indeed full crap. Nothing better about them, they're just as bad. You just have to spend money, and be aware of which company you give it to.

The trap with fabric grades that many people fall into, is that the higher grades don't necessarily translate to durability, cleanability, or feel. All it means is that the fabric is more expensive to make, and it could very well be less durable, delicate, and not as comfortable.

Great points. 👍 That's why I always check the information for the fabric grades first. I'm pretty sure Herman Miller has all their fabrics information listed on their website.

My coworker got the regular Sayl and was super disappointed. Says it doesn't adjust as much as needed and isn't that comfortable. I was surprised to hear after watching reviews.

I see this chair often for around 570euro new... if the chair was just slightly bigger for example in the seat width (at least closer to 50cm or bigger and not only 46cm) I could see this as a really popular "easy pick" for gamers with such a price tag. But sadly it's a bit too tiny to make it a safe option for more people. Seat width and maybe even a teeny tiny bit higher back and it would fit much more people. Gamer would instantly take it for around 500 then. The wide and flexible backrest is already nice for gamers that fidget around a lot, but the rest.. a bummer. I feel like this chair is really mostly for really tiny people (woman) or people that really only sit straight, always closed legs and get up a lot. So.. only sit casually. just too tiny overall, sadly

Hello team, thank you for this great video. May I ask you for some advice? I'm looking for a new ergo chair to replace my gaming chair and I have the possibility for a fairly close price to have access to 3 of the best chairs you often talk about: - A fully charged Herman Miller Arron classic refurbished by the only French company approved by HM for the reconditioning and remarketing of their Aeron seats. (at 890 €) - A new first generation Haworth Fern without additional lumbar support (around 950 €) - A new fully loaded Amia with color option (940 €) More information: I live in France, I am a salesperson and with telecommuting I work 2 days a week all day in my home and on my chair (around 6/8h). I am regularly under pressure so my back hurts and I need to feel good when I sit down. I do a bit of gaming in the same seat (1h/2h per cheek) I want to prioritize good posture, comfort and lumbar support . Which offer do you think is the best? thanks in advance

Better than any crappy racing chairs mass produced by the same Chinese OEMs. However, I think Embody is the best and probably above and beyond all "gaming" chairs.

Gaming Sayl is a complete waste of money, but it's obvious that Herman Miller is doing this is to appeal to and fool the gamer gang into paying more for less.

I would say they are doing gamers a service, because if gamers are not going to get a quality office chair, the next best thing is a quality office chair... disguised as a gaming chair :D

i bought the herman miller verus and i have to return it, hurts my back and no padding on the cushion at all. I am very disappointed in herman miller, i thought it was the end all be all........not even close. My old serta chair from office depot is better.

@Jason S I mean, it's one of their most basic chairs, similar to the Lino. It's not a chair I would consider to truly embody the Herman Miller name. You'd need to try out the Sayl, Mirra 2, Aeron, Cosm or Embody to get the very best of Herman Miller imo.

@@StardustLegacyFighter no stores around me carry those to try. I don’t like ordering these chairs, finding out they suck, having to put it back in the box, pay for shipping/restocking fees then ship it back, pain in the ass.

@Jason S I'm not sure about your specific location, but not all Herman Miller retailers will charge you for returns shipping. In the UK, the dealer that I bought Herman Miller chairs from never charged me any returns shipping and I didn't even need to pack it back up. Most dealers should give you 14-30 days to try the chair for free. From what I've heard, if you were to buy from Herman Miller directly, they'll charge you returns shipping.
