When I moved I had so much makeup and shampoos etc. I filled a large box of lotions ,shampooers,and hair conditioners I didn't use in the last year. I gave it to a shelter. The makeup was crazy. I had so much along with hair combs,Barrett's etc. I donated a giant bag of hair clips etc. To junk store. I threw away all the makeup,nail polish I haven't wore in a year. I didn't have hardly anything left which was great.

Have you considered labeling all your boxes? I find that my declutter efforts never last unless I label the boxes... I end up just quickly throwing everything into random boxes without labels!

I definitely need to do this in my bathroom, I've run out of label maker tape 😭but thank you for the tip I will try and do something about it in a couple of days before I throw things into all the wrong boxes

Hey Hermione! I think you can save your broken eye shadow, you should look around you need to add something (rubbing alcohol I think but not 100% sure). I hope it'll work! Thanks for all your tips!

Hi Hermione, great job on cleaning up and recycling the items you are not using. Just an FYI, it’s not a good idea to keep medications, vitamins etc in the bathroom as the temperature changes and humidity can degrade these items quickly and affect their potency etc. If you could move the vitamins etc somewhere else such as your bedroom or kitchen that would be safer 🙂

I like to have my meds in the kitchen, especially if they needs to be taken with a meal. If they are not in the kitchen - it's like they are not in my house at all :D

I finally decluttered my closet and desk because of your videos! I love how they turned out all though my desk is actually getting messy again I'm working on the rest of my room throughout the week. I've taken a break the last few days lol.

Beauty /washing / cleaning product decluttering videos always make me shake my head. Like, I have one soap and one hair-product I use as shampoo (ok, 2 if you count the henna power I use from time to time to color my hair). I use the same soap to clean any areas of my body but also to do my dishes (by hand ; I do have another product for my dish-washer... for now), clean the kitchen, bathroom and do my laundry. Because it's actually the best, gentlest on the skin, cheapest, most efficient and eco-friendly cleaning product I've found. (I also use vinegar to clean.) You just have to look and find the right product.

To fix your shadow: smash all until powder. Add alcohol and mix until creamy consistency. Spread in the pan and let dry. Tadah!

Wow you have a lot of stuff. I just ensure I only buy my absolutely fave and unless things are almost finished like makeup, shampoo etc I don't bother buying more. My lovely hubby installed a mirrored bathroom cabinet which I keep most of my perfumes, cleansers, toners and moisturizers. Makeup is kept on my dresser (the one I use regularly). The ones which are used once in a while are in a makeup bag. We also have storage for cleaning stuff and towels in bathroom. Apart from the toothbrush holders and some decor, nothing much else is out. We have cabinet in kitchen for medicines and similar items as plenty of cabinets available. Less is more, keep it low key.

There is a Japenese book once mentioned this. How long to use up all products we have.......... before decluttering 20 years? After decluttering ____ months / years? She also mentioned to be mindful of the expiry date of products. Thank you for sharing.

To fix that broken shade you can just mash it up in its tin until it’s a powder (lumps are fine) and then pour rubbing alcohol into it until its like a runny paste, then put a napkin/paper towel bit over it for the night it to soak up the extra rubbing alcohol and of course it evaporates out of the formula so it should be good as new ;)

Your red hair has grown on me! It really does suit you. I hope you return to showing us the end of finishing off yohr amazing house. Love your channel. Dont think the vitamin thing can truly be personalised without a blood test and overdosing on vitamins can be dangerous but a bit of vitamin b and c is probably ok.

Ohhhh Hermoine, poor shadow. Here's a tip. Just crush the powder up and add a little rubbing alcohol until it's more of a putty than powder, compact it/squish it well and it'll dry back up into the container like nothing bad ever happened to it (:

Looking at your make up drawer: could you fit 4 baskets (and would it be handy) if you in back (from left to right) 1 basket horizontally and second one vertically and in front (from left to right) 1 basket vertically and second on horizontally. Or actually I'm positive that you can fit 4 boxes there that way. :) Keep up decluttering. ^_^

I've watched your videos for a long time now and I am a HUGE fan of yours. Can you please start making videos on Bullet Journaling? I feel like It could help you with organizing your life on a daily basis and can you make videos on it? Love you always!!

@@HermioneChantal First of all, I am jumping right now!! OMG you replied to my comment!!! Second, The best thing to do is to be relaxed and not stressed. Just grab all the things that you need and put on some relaxing music if you'd like and start out with pencil. I deal with the same problem but using a pencil at first really helps. If you don't want to spend too much time on Bullet Journaling, there are videos that show Bullet Journaling in 10 minutes. I honestly really can't wait if you will make a video on it because I feel like your ideas are very unique so don't be afraid to make mistakes. LOVE YOU!!!

Hey Hermione that vitamin pack looks super cool and useful but: 1. It seems to only be available to those living in the USA, and idk your demo but I figure plenty of us must be in the UK alongside you, no?! 2. Their suggestion of what vitamins I need costs FIFTY DOLLARS A MONTH! And you could get the same vitamins/same amount at the chemist aisle in the supermarket for maybe 15 quid max, so.... it's a pretty company, but I'm genuinely a little confused why you were onboard with promoting it lol. You are so DIY talented i know you can remove those screws in your desk and replace with shorter screws they stick out like an inch or more too long. Ha ha I just cleaned out under my bathroom sink. My goal feminine products curling rollers two kinds and 75% cleaning products. All my makeup hair skin face feet and laundry soap and house cleaning supplies is in a freestanding 3 foot deep by 3 feet wide closet with 4 shelves. There is a 1 foot deep two slelf cabinet above toilet where i keep beach towels, batbroom mats, face clothes wash rags.
