Everyone living on the cherry mountain should live inside it and call it Cherry Hollow. You can light it all up and clear out the dripstone and make a little underground city! For lighting up the ceiling, a nice aesthetic would be the glow berries, and moss would be a nice touch. You can create pretty particles by having cherry blossom leaves and the large pink flowers (I forgot the names).

Grian, it’s frankly awesome to see you lean into what you learned in the past seasons. Truly embracing the never-building-the-back-of-things attitude because there’s nothing actually wrong with having a certain style of building. I’m also so curious to see more of the color palettes you mentioned because I’m curious whether you’re going to add more color to your builds this season? I can’t wait to see what comes of it! Prismarine… a conduit? Underwater base? 👀 It’s also so fun to see the demise game make its return and see the life series elements added to Hermitcraft, with the red name and all! I’m so curious about the prize as well, but I suppose we’ll have to wait and see. In general, looking forward to seeing what comes of this season. And a big welcome to Joel and Skizz as well!! They deserve to be here so much.

24:54 I love the deliberate approach! I’ve always wanted to dig out my caving area like that too. I always wish to try making things into actual THINGS as I go. So like rather than plunking down an enchantment set up in the nearest convenient space, I wait until I’ve dug out or built a room to fit it and decorate the sides, before I even have a base to live in usually. I also enjoy watching that progress, it’s more memorable and feels more involved on the viewing part and from our view of how you are playing. It’s why I like livestreams, you see the whole process and it feels more deliberate everything that’s done and more memorable than a cut down version of someone seeming to skip entire processes and experiences

I've been doing "vertical mining" for years (I started when I played on Keralis' Towny server). The trick is to toss a bucket of water in the hole and dig down the water column. If it opens into a deep cave or lava or something you're fine as long as you don't outpace the water. It works best if you have aqua affinity and resp enchants but if not just dig a couple of blocks to the side to get to air as you go. In years of doing this the only time I ran into trouble was when I hit a pocket of gravel at the top of a cave one time.
