It's a pretty good opening! The song is nice and the use of cgi (which they absolutely nailed) makes it very unique. The ED i don't like though

Tbh I agree with him that most anime openings are really nothing special and sometimes bad in either spoiling too much or being too boring with nothing happening. The CG here is interesting and something different atleast, but for comparison I think this was still better than the trashy Chainsaw Man opening everyone was hyping as something amazing.

About the OP. The song is a banger and the composition of the scenes is quite good too. The 3D is OK for the kaijus but seems a little off for the humans, like the hair waving in the air looks a little weird to me, but otherwise the OP is quite good IMO. 4:49 As someone who is 36, it's true that you get "weaker", but as you said, I think it's a stamina problem. I've been doing the same cardio routines every day since I was 23 and I've noticed a drastic drop in performance since I hit 30. I get tired more easily, my reflexes became more dull, and I'm getting sleeper, can't stay up as late as I could when I was younger.

One of my favorite things about Kaiju No. 8 is the way characters are introduced. Most of the time you think, “I don’t know if I like this character.” Wait. This story (I’m caught up on the manga) makes pretty much every single one grow on you. Vice Captain Hoshina is my favorite.

The reason Kafka is 0% stands for the human-Kaiju synchronisation. Since Kafka is a Kaiju now, his 100% Kaiju body outranks the Kaiju material suits

Or Kafka is just getting emotional for the suit to exploit this change. These suits are meant to enhance the humans to get more Kaiju like, which makes changes to the human body. There's nothing to change on Kafka's body anymore since he's already a Kaiju. Always remember, that human appearance of Kafka is just an illusion.

Bro, I swear as a manga reader that you have some insane insight to perhaps an event yet to happen! I was thinking the same theory as well but I did not take into account that his emotional response is a stimulus for the shit as it is a human response unlike that which of a Kaiju. This will also come in handy for the new dilemma he has to face in the recent chapters.

After he got his powers, I didn’t expect the story to continue to be an underdog story. I thought he was used to them by now and was just holding back, but he seems to be struggling. It’s not the first, but I wonder just how many stories in general I’ve seen that do this… and My Hero immediately came to mind, but I wonder what else.

I'm rooting for Kafka. Wanting to try not to cheat by using his kanji powers and his own determination going from 0 to 0.01%. Respect by even if Kafka was worried about exposing his Kaiju powers, even a little bit, in front of all these people; you have to respect the man to choose to rely on his normal human attributes, even if it puts him at a disadvantage because of his age.

Thier weapons scale with thier Released Power as well. Thats why HER weapon cam kill a Kaiju in 2-4 shots; hers are 3 times more powerful then EVERYBODY else.

Also what happened to my boy Hoshino(the instructor guy who kept laughing at Kafka😭), he looks so goofy compared to the manga(bro's built in the manga). Ive boticed this show seems to have WAY more of an effect and perosnal importance for people who mirror kafkas mental state. Streamers just dont seem to identify with this series on a deep level because most of them are realt8vely succesful in niche hobbies. Kaiju number 8 is to 30 somethingd with regrets just like mushoku tensei is for people identifying with the neet lifestyle.

The OP and ED are just not my style and genre of musics... But i do apreciate that it fits the vibes and the animation style of both is great! If the anime is in 3d and looks just like the OP, damn that would be awesome, but that would be taking such a huge budget... I'm ok with invited guest artists doing OP and ED, I think it's cool but anime for the west? Nah, that's bad shit written all over it. Then sooner or later anime is gonna be some woke shit. There's a fine line between appeal for the west and made for the west. And I know you mean it by "appealing to the west" by getting some of their artists into the project.

Yeah it's pretty cliche. Kafka character is the shining part of the series. That and it's just a unique stage in anime. And with as much copy paste worldbuilding as we have in anime that goes a long way. It just feels new. Also Kafka being thirty and the core message of the series of it's never too pate to give up on your dreams I think really helped this manga to resonate with older viewers.
