At least with the deaths in Harry Potter it was needed to sell Voldemort as a big scary villain. There was quite terrible worldbuilding done because we were told everything instead of shown it. Harry Potter was really quite poorly written in some ways. Magic was inconsistent, enchantment was only ever used to make a small handful of objects, and we only got to read/see 2 good magic battles. We went from swish and flick and correct pronunciation of Leviosa to get magic to correctly to magic is done silently and you can do it with or without a wand and if you use the wand you can just randomly wave it. Enchantment only brought us the sorting hat, the brooms, the moving stairs, the philosopher stone, the map, and time turners. You can add the goblet of fire and the flying car onto that too I suppose. It was never explained well and even if it had it would not have stayed consistent. Also alchemy is only ever seen in 1 book and that's it. And as far as battles go we really get 2 good ones throughout the entire show. Dumbledore vs Voldemort (even though they cast a lot of magic with very few words and sometimes just hand motions) and the battle for the Ministry of Magic that saw Sirius die. All of the battles between the main protagonist and antagonist devolved into 1 single spell and a lighting bolt showdown never explained. We don't know if its a battle of wills or a battle of who has more magic or who has the bigger dick. It's literally not explained either how Harry's simple spell become a fucking lightning bolt that can challenge one of the strongest spell ever in Avada Kadavra. Even if we got an explanation everything we know about both of those spells is that they're not supposed to be sustained casts like Leviosa is. I know no one asked but I really wanted to rant about the massive problems that plague the books. And don't even get me started on the romance switcheroo where suddenly Harry likes Ginny and not Hermione even though that romance had been building for awhile before being retconned with no warning or explanation. Also the romance between Harry and Ginny was so forced it came out of nowhere. We see some hints that Ginny liked Harry but until the big reveal of their mutual affection there was nothing from Harry to suggest he wanted anyone other than Hermione. Rowling just didn't want to fall into a trope where main Male and Female leads get together.

@Serenity the wiki for Young Justice has confirmed Wally is dead. There is no such thing as the Speed Force in Young Justice.

@@seanrogers9129 the speedforce only says what we can see. In this case what the other characters think. One of the producers once indeed said that there is no speedforce. But has changed his statement to the people of earth 16 haven't heard of the speedforce. Which is probably because he once already spoiled a characters return he had planed... And then needed to rewrite it and couldn't bring her back because he spoiled his own story. There are hints in s3 that wally is alive

@Serenity Okay, but if Wally does come back then the wiki will have to recon the dates of when he lived. And also I don't think Wally's gonna be Kid Flash anymore since Bart already took that Mantle after the team heard about Wally's "death"

(but i wouldn`t take everything wiki has as proof. since they only work with the stuff we see...and sadly based on that don`t even update the characters ages by logic.) thats a good point. i mean wally did told bart in the s2 finale that he wants him to take on the mantle of kf. because he wanted to retire again. so maybe he will quit the herolife again. or he will become the second Flash.
