Wouldn't say a reboot but a continuation. I believe the series ended when Static was 16. Means 2 more years of highschool to go before college. Could continue a few months after Static and Gear took down the Ebon-Hot Streak fusion

I always loved that moment in "Static in Africa" where Virgil talks about his experience as a young black man--how he's not a "black kid" there in Africa, just a kid. That kind of issue, about the subtle ways you might see yourself as different even in your own home due to race or heritage, doesn't get mentioned in children's TV shows often.

Try and find the Commando X trilogy from the original Milestone comics (issues #5-7), if you love that moment. One of them, I believe #6, has an incredible sequence of Virgil and Frieda talking to their parents about racial divides. Actually, just read the entire run if you can; it was an amazing series.

I've watched Static Shock deal with racism, homelessness, and bullying. If they bring back this show (and they should), I'd like to see episodes about drug addiction, STD's, and abusive relationships.

It wouldn't be the same. Without Dwayne Mcduffie, Static would've just been another teenage superhero to fill the titans roster. Not trying to be a dick. It's just...Dwayne Mcduffie was the heart of the character who pushed social issues without sounding too preachy

Static in his own show: Fun, energetic, funny, but yet he can be serious when he needs to be. Basically the same personality as Spider-Man. Static in Young Justice: Emo, Moody, and never lightens up. The exact opposite of the character from his show.

I'll agree with the later two comments, source event for the powers can have a decent impact on their active personality moving forward, and it also doesn't help that YJ Static doesn't have A) familiar characters to bounce off of like Gear/Ritchie that have a long history prior, B) nearly as much focus as a character due to being in a large-scale ensemble-cast show, and C) an impossible to bridge gap in ability to run things by his original creator for character advice (RIP Dwayne)

Static shock is without a doubt the best TV show from my childhood it not only had amazing action a hero who used his brain instead of punching his way out of everything a different villain with cool superpowers every week and it dealt with some pretty serious issues racism,gang violence,homelessness, school shootings,dyslexia bullying,lost loved ones. This show was truly ahead-of-its-time. I really hope they make a live-action movie and or show I only hope it lives up to the comic and the cartoon

I love this guy. He's has some of the best puns and pick up lines of any hero. And he's so cool and inspiring. Static was a great show that I'll always love and cherish. And Static deserves his own movie and video games. Also my favorite quote was the payphone one XD

I liked Static growing up. I tried recreating him in the LEGO DC Video Games but I just can’t get the outfit right. Same deal with trying to make Terry McGinnis aka Batman Beyond. Those 2 need to make a comeback in to DC Animation. Y’know I want to see both Terry McGinnis & Damian Wayne as the Batman & Robin of the Future, after all their Genetic code is Identical to the Original’s.

@Michael LaRose no, that happened years after the cartoon aired (Milestone's characters weren't part of the main DC universe at the time). I've heard that it was setting up the crossover 2-parter, which was originally meant to familiarize viewers with the Teen Titans before their show debuted (just like the Legion of Super Heroes appearance in JLU); story is that someone higher up chickened out, and that's why the better-known Justice League ended up getting the 2-parter instead.
