Heroscape VC Unit Analysis - Beakface Sneaks (SoV 2011-2013)

My thanks to everyone who's stuck with the channel during the long waits between videos! This is a pilot episode for a new series on the channel in which we'll do deep dives into the units in the Valhalla Customs (VC) line of releases. Today, we're covering the Beakface Sneaks, a unit I found I had a lot to say about with all the different units they can synergize with via Flocking. I'd love to know what people think of a series of smaller videos focused on VC, so let me know if you'd like to see more. If the response is positive, we'll continue this series. I have a good process down for making them quickly and they should help bridge the gap between the bigger releases. For fans of the tier lists, don't worry. We're not stopping that series any time soon!
For anyone unfamiliar with VC, it's essentially a community-run continuation of Heroscape using miniatures appropriated from other toy lines. These units are generally very well designed, rigorously playtested, and often allowed in tournaments. They bring a wealth of new units, playstyles, and synergies to the game, and are worth every Heroscaper's time to check out. I really like this video format! Potentially, you could create an upload for each unit in VC and in classic, and once you have an entire wave, you could compile them into one longer “mega video”

I don’t play with VC but I’m always just so interested in talking strategy in Heroscape. In depth unit analysis, even if it’s for a unit I personally don’t play with, is always interesting to me. I would love to see more videos from you in general as I enjoy how in depth you go into this topic!

Glad you liked it! I wholeheartedly recommend exploring VC if you're looking to expand your collection or just want fresh units to play with. I find they integrate seamlessly with the official roster and are very well made. Some stronger than others, but that's the case in official too. Not all of the "official" VC figures are easy to come by (to be expected since many units were created years ago and the availability of minis only goes down with time), but there are scans of them to 3D print. You can always proxy them from stuff you have in your own collection too, if you just want to try out their mechanics in a non-tournament setting.
