you should make a table top out of these trays - maybe hexagon tile - maybe a north star design - that could be a really cool design - or your version of a roulette wheel

Might I suggest, using an L fence on the table saw next time to cut each hexagon to shape. I did this recently for an accent wall, it was super easy.

Hi Ben, Why use the band saw for cutting the strips for the frame instead of the table saw? Not trolling. Just trying to learn. Thanks!

Safety basically: cutting long narrow strips on a table saw presents difficulties pushing the stock through and has a fairly high probability of kickback. There are ways to use a table saw if you don't have access to a bandsaw but look up how to do it, especially the safety aspects.

It's a hexagon. The three interior angles are 60 degrees, the angles on the wrap are 30 degrees. And, at time stamp 15:20 he mentions the angle for the individual strips.

Great idea to use scraps, but you can't say "entirely" since you broke down a sheet of Baltic birch plywood for the base.

@@WobyDesign I can see it's not a full sheet, but how can you call it scrap. I would call it a left over, an off cut, partially broken down, but not scrap. Scraps to me are pieces that could be thrown out, because they aren't a full project on their own. They need more scraps to become something. So, using your definition of scraps, can I come raid your scrap pile?
