James had essentially outshined Ken during his briefer appearance on the show and you could tell that this tournament meant a LOT to Ken. And in the end Ken deserved to win; although he humbly and correctly stated that with just a different question here, or a contrasting category there, the outcome could easily have been different. And Brad's style of buzzing in just didn't work versus James and Ken; it wasn't that he missed that many answers (although a couple Double Jeopardy moments definitely set him back).

His smile when it cuts to him at :05 seconds, BEFORE the scores are changed to 0, is EXACTLY the same as it is at :10 seconds. In his head he saw the scores changed and then reacted right away with the comment, it wasn't something he was planning and waiting. That grin he has between 5 and 10 seconds isn't "holding back laughter", that looks like a typical waiting politely face while Alex spoke. In that 5 seconds, he blinks, he sways, NOTHING about his mouth changes, at all. You're welcome to disagree. But no need to swear at a complete stranger

I feel like Ken has one a good job filling in the shoes of Alex, I think he does an excellent job of keeping some of the traits that made Alex so great as a host, while also being different enough that he just isn't trying to copy him, an isn't so different as to change the identity of the host of Jeopardy. All in ll I think Ken has done a wonderful job of filling in the shoes as best as he can.

James beat me to being the arrogant dickhead that I want my friends and family to see me as. Ah shucks!. Maybe next time. @@coolcatcastle8 Its highly unlikely that before the numbers erased to 0, he looked at the numbers and thought "oh they are going to change to 0, and when they do, I'll make this joke". Its much more likely that the moment it popped into his mind, he said it. So yes, his facial expression changed when it popped into his mind, because he began speaking.

@@Slowpoke3x i think with these three, specifically, they'd been on jeopardy for so long (especially Ken, who works on the show) that they built up a rapport with Alex. That made them more relaxed during the game. And since the three of them are Ultra Champions they're frequently together for publicity things. It's like watching a bunch of friends banter for half an hour. It makes a great show lol. But for the regular contestants, they're usually nervous and just trying to win

it's a shame. In his prime he was the winningest Jeopardy contestant (in terms of tournament wins) in history. He essentially retired from the game for years, only to return for this tournament due to Trebek's bout with Cancer. But after so many years (where the game changed a LOT, especially due to James' shift in strategy), he was so out of practice he couldn't remain competitive. He absolutely deserved to be in the GOAT tournament, but had no real chance of winning. It's like if Babe Ruth facing off against the 2020 Los Angeles Dodgers pitching staff. It's not that he's talented, it's just the game has moved on so drastically.
