OK Jake, listen, I am going to give you some fatherly advise now, I know this might be just a comment section rant but I feel hopeful that you actually read these things, So here's the deal, You are going to be OK. You are going to be just fine. Life is never going to get easier, but you will get stronger every single day, and you know what Jake, there will be a point very soon in your life where instead of only reacting to life's surprises and challenges, you will be able to simply "Live" and enjoy moments, free from concern. Our country is going through a difficult time and many of the people that run our country have created billions in personal wealth at the expense of our economy and ability to make a honest living and prosper. It's not you. Everyone is in the same boat right now. It's not your fault Jake. Our politicians and corporations stoke fear in every way they can as a people who live in fear are easily governed. The Pandemic culture IS fading away. You may not realize what a profound effect the Pandemic had on not only the economy, but the constant fear that infused into what would normally be the part of your life where you would have had the opportunity to define who you are going to be as a man. You may not like your job, and you may not like how other constantly judge you based on social status, job or income or that you live in your car but that's perfectly OK to feel down sometimes, however, you have to take those feelings of " Not being good enough or feeling that you are going to be cursed living a life of quiet desperation and realize that feeling this way is the only way to understand that your self worth is not indicative of your job your income or social status much less the words or thoughts of strangers, Jake, None of what other people think or say is valuable, unless you believe it.. You are the one who controls you. The only pathway to happiness is paved with gratitude. If you can focus everyday on what you are grateful for..you will feel happiness Jake. Call me sometime if you want to talk. Kind Regards

Yes, I care and feel happy that you are doing well. You are a unique human with a lot to offer, with much value who I, as a stranger, find value watching and listening. So many are bored, dissatisfied, demoralized, discontent - you are in the majority of this mutual human journey, endeavor to find satisfaction and contentedness, happiness. Making smoothies is a positive step - good honest work - to help you move forth in your journey.

Congratulations on being sober!!! It's not failing if you don't like something. 180 hrs is alot of commitment. If you're not sure what u want to do u could try individual classes where there's not a huge time commitment & that might give you some ideas. There are even some free courses. Ur mental health comes first, always. Happy birthday to your Mother. And good luck.

So glad to see your video in my feed, Jake! So, great to hear your life updates and your practices to maintain your mental health. So much to say, but I wanted to say that I had goals for my life but my daily actions weren’t filling those goals and time started flying by and my goals were not getting any closer. I heard this journaling prompt from Debbie Millman that she gives to her students that her mentor and professor, Milton Friedman gave to her, and it gave me a undeniable Northstar. Maybe you’ve journaled on this or something like it, but it goes something like this - imagine a day in your life 10 years from now from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep. What do your sheets feel like, what color are they, is the sun coming through the windows, where are the windows, when you pull the sheets off is there someone next to you? etc... Be as detailed as possible or as vague as possible. Could be one page or twenty pages. For all of Debbie’s students that reach out to her ten years later, she reports that everyone of them had their day come true. You should revisit this day-in-the-life essay weekly or biyearly, to update it or reinvent it completely. I realize today that I’m 8 years post essay and maybe 80 percent there, but everyday feels like the dream embedded in that essay right now. I have a new essay for 8 years from now. This guides all my decisions, my sacrifices, where I spend my time, where I focus, it’s happening and I don’t make an effort. I did buy an Ink and Volt planner to break down daily, weekly, monthly, yearly goals. I get them done or I learn that they’re actually 2 year goals in the process, but they get done or I learn that I didn’t want to pursue them through their very pursuit. The only way to make art is to lay down a line of paint, erase it, and do it again. Also, I listened to the Psycho-Cybernetics Book by Maxwell Maltz recently here on KZfaq while commuting or running to change my negative self talk and rewrite how I see my self showing up in the world. Wishing you all the best. Looking forward to seeing any and all your videos. Keep motating!

A few comments: Definitely a W figuring out you don't like real estate. We've been conditioned to think that "failing" is bad but they are often the best learning experiences. Glad you are finding solace in your faith. I'm not religious at all but I can see how it can be beneficial to a lot of people. In fact, perhaps being more open about it will bring you blessings. I don't know much about PC's and gaming but would a laptop work? If you could find one that could handle gaming and streaming why not still do it from car? What happened to your other channel, I thought you already created one? I was subscribed on Patreon on honestly never expected anything in return, just wanted help out in a little way that I could and I think most felt the same way. Happy Birthday Momma Jake!!

Hey Jake, I was thinking about you the other day and im happy to see you uploaded a video. Honestly man i think you should just be more yourself. I love these videos you've been uploading lately bc you've been so raw and honest. I used to love when you felt the next to take a break from the other uploads and you'd just give us a video like this. I feel like sometimes we try hard to be what we think we're supposed to be but don't like it we end up not wanting to do anything. I tried for 5 years to start a business and didnt make any progress and always found a bunch of excuses and pretty much just wasted a bunch of time and didnt make any money. Then recently i decided to just commit to food delivery and its been going great. I work 10-11 hours a day and only make about 200 a day but i dont mind it and im willing to work 30 days a month and finally making progress with something feels great! I think if you love running you should maybe make some running videos on another channel, the running community is huge and we rarely see someone as relatable as you. Also, i think you should maybe try to sell your video editing services. Thats a skill that you have that youre used to doing from your daily uploads and im sure you could make a lot of money with it. Youre a medium sized youtuber with a whole 50k subs so im sure you could at least charge 30 an hour if not more. Overall, i think you should just lean more into being yourself and doing what you want to do and everything will fall into place, much love jake ❤️

hey man 👋🏽 i’m one of the 3 or 4 who’ve been watching your old videos lately 😅 you cross my mind sometimes, I guess because I relate to your struggle. I got evicted and had to live in my car with my girl, was on skidrow doing drugs and all that, living hard because I didn’t know ‘car life’ was even a thing😅, now i’m single and living with my mom at 30. Living in a car looks like a dream to me now thanks to seeing ppl like yourself making it happen, even if it’s not always the easiest life to live. The freedom and independence will forever be appealing to me. So thank you for all you do my brother, and all you don’t do! It’s the fact that you DON’T have it all together but make it work that keeps me tuned in, the raw reality of it, so don’t be too hard on yourself when you fall short, we’re here for it all. And I’m glad to hear u love God and reading the Bible, I worried you were out there leaning on your own strength. Remember “All things work out for the good of those who believe in Him”, so keep it going bro, the journey doesn’t have to be pretty, just complete 💪🏽🙏🏽

I've been living out of my car for 10 months and my whole family knows and so do all my friends. I'm taking note of this. If I'm ever able to get back on my feet again and get my own place I'm never going to help my "family" or "friends" if they are down and out and fall from grace because they've all stared blankly at me fall flat on my face and said and done nothing about it aside from, "Damn, sucks to be you." So if I have my own place someday and someone in my family or friends group falls on hard times and needs shelter or resources you can bet your a$$ I've only got one thing to say to them...

My cousin didnt know what he wanted to do for the longest. Finally decided to do HVAC. He's doing great now. He has a place, a girlfriend and a baby. What I'm saying is there is still plenty of time to decide. The real estate didnt work out. maybe book stuff isnt for you. Thats an important thing to recognize so dont beat yourself up too much about wasting money. Maybe you need a hands on trade. Think about welding or something like that. Just go down to the community college and talk to someone. Call some temporary job agancies and ask them what is in demand in your area that isnt too much school. Happy Birthday Mama Jake!

Blessings Jake! Your on your way to better clarity, more direction, and transformation (in my humble opinion I think that is the goal of life). Growth is painful. transformation is even more painful but if you don't give up there is something better in store as you stick closer and closer to God. People don't talk about this to often but staying present and remaining grateful always is the secret to everlasting joy in this present life. Eternal life is not for the future end time but it is available to you right now! Eternal life is not quantity but quality. We have access to all of God's blessings right at this very hour. Sometimes it takes a long time for us to transform but this is God's work and not ours. Remember the story of Abraham, Joseph, David, and Jesus. The theme there, among many others, is that everything happens according to God's time table and we have to wait. I have a feeling something great is going to come to you but love is patient. I always love updates from you . Much love, peace, happiness and success.

Unless your driving for Uber having a new car is not much help. Sell your car and pay cash for a used car. Your insurance will cost less and you won't have a car payment. I am old and I never had a new car. I had 1 new pickup for about a year, but that is because I needed it for work. Other than that I have gone 50 years on this planet without a car payment. No reason to give the banks interest unless they are helping you make money like I did with a pickup for 1 year.

Hey Jake, I hope you're doing well and just a quick thought, at your age, you have a multitude of options. I wonder if you could use your video skills with a job in the trades, principally electricians. This could be a lifelong career and pays well with most weekends off and perhaps you could present yourself to a new electrician trying to build their business while you learn the ropes as an apprentice. I've watched a couple of KZfaq channels like Artisan Electrics or Electric Pro Academy and they clearly gain a lot of business by showing their work ethic and skills in doing the electrical work. I know it seems like a shot in the dark but you might find the mix of videoing for an up and coming electrician as well as learning the trade to be something you'd enjoy and feel pride in doing. It's just a thought but maybe it might be worthwhile for you.

I kicked it all away in 2007, been traveling the world solo ever since. A few years ago I was in Phnom Penh, out for breakfast by the Mekong and this huge Maquace climbed down the phone pole , walked into the restaurant and took a seat three tables away from me. He gave the obligatory yawn, huge teeth and killer fangs, then looked at me. The waitress got out the awning pole and threatened to poke him with it. He slowly got up ambled out the door and slowly climbed back up into the tangle of cables in the air. I felt like we knew each other from somewhere in the distant past. Your Vloggs do that for me too.

if it's in your personality and skill set, consider being a care giver or companion for someone in need. you could complete basic care giver training, gain experience working, and even look at becoming a private pay care giver. no one is over your shoulder and you might feel good helping someone else.

I believe you may have ADHD. Watch some KZfaq videos about that. The inability to stay at jobs is very common for people with ADHD. And if you want to have space to build a pc or for whatever, just get a climate controlled storage unit for $100 a month. Public Storage usually also have a bathroom inside the building, which is a nice place to clean up or grab tap water. But really, watch some ADHD videos. They’ll make you feel better about your confusion. And also help you stop trying things you know you’ll never finish. I went to Cosmetology school 3 times and quit every time. I’m actually awesome at it and got 100% on all the tests. The problem isn’t the curriculum or our personal competency. It’s that society dictates that we’re supposed to pick one thing and become experts, and then do it in perpetuity. PERPETUITY is the problem. It’s boring and miserable to feel chained to the exact same activity every day. And I’m sure you’re fine with people in small doses, but 40 hours a week of different personalities and monitoring our emotions in response to these people can be exhausting. So maybe try contracting work, or consulting. Contract work has an END. So you’re not fighting the feeling of being trapped there forever. And as for consulting, I recommend offering your services right here. Lots of people want to get ON KZfaq and other social media, but don’t know how or would be overwhelmed with starting their own channel. Meet virtually or even in person at local coffee shops or libraries. Yes, I’m sure there are videos out there explaining how to do it, but some people would still pay for in person help. I’m sure the car conversation is frustrating. Common sense tells me that you bought brand new because it’s difficult to secure financing for anything more than a few years old. When you’re talking Prius, it’s hard to justify because used holds value so well and they’re not that expensive to begin with. I’m also assuming that’s why you stayed in Texas through the blistering summer, to keep the mileage low. Also explains why you’re not doing deliveries as much. I suggest trying to pay off the car by making that your #1 priority. The carlife videos do well because people are desperate for proof that they too can survive outside the social norms that they can’t afford. So embrace it. Get the storage unit and make videos about storage assisted carlife. Lean into it for the money just to get the car paid off. Consider going to the big RV & camping show and #vanlife meetup in Arizona this January for some more content. Videos about people crossing the border from Yuma to Los Algodonnes for medical and dental do very well on social media too. Not to mention it would be a great place for you to meet more people living an alternative lifestyle and get ideas on how they do it. I’m telling you to go ahead and pick the low hanging fruit. At least to pay off the car. Now go watch the ADHD videos to prepare for when you want to quit this juice job here in the near future, because you know that day is coming.

I’m unemployed myself. For the 2nd time this year. For 3 months last spring and again since August. I’m going to suck it up and get diagnosed & medicated. I just found out that my estranged mother had it and medication helped her. So it’s likely that I have it too. Took a very long time to admit it to myself. I’m 50, and it took co-workers “peer-diagnosing” me for me to realize it. Like, other ADHD people recognizing it in me and suggesting I get help. Females were largely undiagnosed in my generation, still are I guess. But it’s about time I did something about it. I’d like to be able to keep a job for more than a year. Good luck.

Once you get out in the field in real estate and start actually dealing with people and making money it won't be boring . It is nothing like what you study in class. Austin is the fastest growing metro area in the country. You just got to be determined.

Hey Jake, thanks for sharing your video but I have to say I don’t think gaming would be good because it can disconnect you further from having relationships with the people around you and inhibit you from working on your goals. Just my opinion from my past experiences. But I’m happy to say, congrats on your sobriety!

This is the second of your videos that I've seen. I think that you are a very intelligent young person. You are still looking for your life, but it's happening at the same time. You're on your own journey, and NOT failing! You're living it. The same as everyone else is living their life. Life is hard for everyone. Everyone struggles. Everyone has hardships. Everyone has joy, hope, fear, etc... Count your blessings don't beat yourself up for the past, (all learning experiences). I'd say you're doing just fine, but that's just my 'opinion'. lol. Keep doing what you're doing. You're in my prayers sweet person.

Happy Birthday Mama Jake! It’s so good to see you back on the tubes, Jake! Glad you are doing well. Time sure does fly by too quickly. If there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s that we are all getting older. Tomorrow I turn another year older (thank you for the birthday wish) and rather than reflecting on the mountains I was unable to move, I’m telling myself to just focus on the now. God bless you! ❤️
