Azure Flute puzzle is "too complicated" for pokemon players, but like, Pokeblocks, Poffins, Regigigas in ORAS, they've done worse. Fireflies are toxic to frogs if they eat them, so instead of just having them exist in the world, they remove them entirely, despite the game being filled with such inconsistencies.

There's a mod called Croptopia where Apples and Oranges generate in special leaf blocks. You don't have to break the tree to get the apples, but when you take them you need to wait for another to grow. That makes SO MUCH more sense than vanilla and your take on it. Too bad it comes in a package of over250 nre crops tho, I wish it was a small mod only for Apples.

I think it would be cool to have it be like sweet berry bushes. It grows on the tree until it's ripe and can be harvested, with different stages of growth like the other crops. It would be cool to see that implemented. Oh, and they only grow when on the tree so you can't just have a wall of apple branch leaves to harvest. So you would have to make an actual orchard. Oooh I actually really like this idea now.

Technically you could grow apples on an Oak Tree. Because you can implant branch of apple tree on it, some farmers do it.

Well you can grow apples on a oak tree. You just need to cut a branch of an apple tree ( with flowers on it ), and tape it on a cut branch of an oak tree the fruit wilk grow but it will be awful.

But imagine if oak trees dropped acorns and you had to use those as seeds to grow oak trees.

If anything, you could probably crossbreed, splice, and graft trees over multiple generations to create a fruit-bearing oak tree.

Its worth understanding that before the word Apple became synonymous with the titular fruit it used to simply stand for the word "fruit" itself - for example, a tomato would be considered the "apple" of the plant, and in some languages the potato is literally translated to "apple of the earth". While I doubt Notch had any of this in mind during initial creation - and likely added the apple for simple game balance - I just wanted to share a lil' fun fact with y'all 😂
