safa Steve is saying how some people will stay in your life only for a season. And while you want to be committed to those friendships and keep them honest, that’s all irrelevant. If they’re keeping you from building up, moving up, then it’s not about being honest and real, you just need to let them go and you need to keep it moving. 😊

Went through something similar with my wife, when we were dating. She was so afraid of losing contact to her friends (because she started concentrating more on our relationship), who were mostly single that it caused us stress at times. But I told her the minute her friends meet their partners, we will see less of them and they aren't going to apologize. Wasn't long, before it started happening, one after the other... Spared her the petty, "I told you so.."

@tmmedia9600 5 жыл бұрын
@@anewno6240 this is true, but only to an extent. You can't expect someone to be terminally appreciative of you just because you stuck from day one. If you've levelled up in any way, and they're not willing to do so with you then you both have served your purpose in each other's path and it ends there. This is the difference between those who evolve and those who say 'ah things will never change'. Keep searching for your higher self, and your 'ecosystem', stay evolving.

Clap Clap Clap, love lessons about Leveling Up! Such an important message. This is what life is supposed to be. As every year that passes in life, you are supposed to learn more, do more, experience more, so that when you are 30, 40, 50 and up you *aren't* living or thinking as you did when you were 20. All your relationships, your income, temperament, it is all supposed to level up. People that don't understand that aren't meant to be in your life.

I totally understand what you’re saying Steve but this is a unique case with an NFL player whose time is going to be very very very limited with the kind of career path he’s on, So it’s understandable why he’s struggling to balance everything because lots of people want some of his time. But this does NOT have to be the case with majority of the population who have much more time than an NFL player. People can make time for you, if they truly care! I don’t let anybody tell me the “I’m busy” excuse because it’s all about priorities, and if somebody has me at the bottom of their list of priorities, ESPECIALLY friends who I’ve knows for a long long time, then it’s time to move on. Yes, we get older and we definitely consume more responsibilities which occupy our time as a result, but i don’t work to live...I live to work! I live to have a balanced life with love, success and good health and full filling personal relationships! I find it appalling that people can just throw away some of the friendships they’ve built from when they were younger. Those people that were with you from the beginning help to SHAPE you to the kind of adult and human being you end up becoming, and you wanna just start neglecting that because of your career or a lover in your life now? To me, that is just utter disrespect and a disgrace. I can never do that, ever! For those of you reading this and saying that I’m being too harsh or unrealistic. Well you can continue living a life dictated by what society tells you and by what your age tells you to do, I’m not going down that path. Everything Is all about balance and priorities.

My father teach me long time ago about friends (A person would stop having fun at home just to go some place to sit down on a block and be bored, and also its not a safe place like your house and no lady want a man that will spend more time with his friends on no block more than her and whenever your in a group of so call friends theres gonna be trouble cause one always trying to prove something to the others) Most of your friends aint your friends they just looking to see what they can get out of you.

It’s good to maintain a relationship with a lady/girl friend if you find a real one, but don’t ever let her come in between your real friends and you. Don’t ever shed your real friends for a woman, you need your friends as long as yall doing positive things, as long as those friends are positive in your life she needs to allow you time with your friends. If he wasn’t a professional footballer she won’t be there. Man up and give her the time she requires from you, but don’t ever let your friends down for her. It’s all about moderation....draw a line.

I don't think is that hard to balance your friends ( depending on the type of friends you have of course) and your love life. It's only one word *coordination* . Sadly if you moved to a different level and yo boys still in the same place (hood) unfortunately you can't hang with them the same way you used to. But if your friends leveled up just like you did, you can coordinate with them a weekend just for your homeboys. You coordinate also with your lady about that and she gots to understand and respect that you still have yo homeboys. #ThatsWhatsUp
