I donated my hair before I joined the military. I had long curly hair. I donated 12 inches. I had two ponytail too and of course people had to take photos. I wanted to cut it before I joined because I knew they wouldn't donate the hair.

I have had alopecia since the age of 5, and I am now 45. I cannot put into words the heartache, stress, and hurt feelings that I have experienced over all the years due to not having hair, particularly being a female. Unfortunately, by the time I found out about Locks of Love, I was too old to qualify, but I had an amazing mom who always made me beautiful scarfs to match every outfit and who would take me when I got older to get my wigs. I just wanted to say thank you to Brayleigh and to everyone of you that have donated your hair. You have no idea how big you have made a child smile! Thank you soooo much!!

When I was little, I would always donate my hair! My hair is really thick and it use to grow very fast! But once it was all the way past my butt so I donated a TON of my hair. And I think once it may have been over a foot..

I think it is great that people donate their hair for a good cause. I personally have donated my hair twice to locks of love. Even my mom has donated her hair to locks of love. Brailee looks so adorable with short hair.

I've always wanted to cut my hair short, but I have very curly hair so that would be a bad idea. The weight of my hair keeps it from being really puffy so if I cut it short it would be like a mini Afro :p

A half year ago, I dediced to cut 17cm (I have no idea how many inches that are) and I was really excited about donated it, but when it was cut off, they suddenly told me I couldn't donated it! And it was long enough, that was for sure. It was 17cm with curls! I was so mad and I almost cried because I grew my hair so long because I wanted to donate it... So now I have to start all over agin. I still have 30cm hair I think and I hope it will grow fast.

Well, 17 cm is about 6 inches, and the minimum to donate is 10 inches... I'm sorry you couldn't donate it, they should have told you that you couldn't donate before they cut it off. :/

your hair has to be 10 inches to donate and 17cm is only 6 inches so i think thats why they said you can't donate it.

Yah, my hair would probs be long enough, but the shortest I'd be comfortable cutting it to is shoulder length, and I still have an inch or 2 to go!

I donated 12 inches of my hair(4 ponytails) in the third grade. I was so happy after and it made me feel so good inside. It's great to be able to make someone else feel better by just a simple(and daring😂) act!

I've donated my hair to Locks of Love two separate times in the past. Rather than letting my hair go to waste on the floor, my hair went to a sick child who would cherish it much more than I ever could. It's a great feeling, I highly recommend it!

I cut my hair and then donated it in 3rd grade, and I was so happy, because first off, it was a new hairstyle that I had never had before (a bob to my chin) and I felt like I was doing something right and it made me happy thinking about it.

A couple of months ago I cut 14 inches off of my hair and donated it to Locks of Love. I have really thick, curly, strawberry blonde hair so everyone was talking about how whoever got it is really lucky. Sometimes I miss my long hair (it used to be past my butt)... but I also do love my shorter hair. Even thought my "shorter hair" is half way down my back!

I donated to locks for love 4years ago and I'm about to do it again this weekend!!! I think my hair is like 2.5 maybe 2.75 feet so I'm excited I'm cutting to about where missglamorazzi has her hair. IM SO EXCITED
