Thx guys now I'm going to do these 7 mods, 1 take out pin to pull trigger when mag not in, 2 make me rod for takedown out of old nail so dont need punch, 3 paint plastic handles, 4 paint safety switch, 5 polish center of top slide, 6 widen mag at front lips only, 7 adjust mag spring with a blend at top...hope this all works thx again

They don't recommend that we take down our C-9, but rather Hi-Point wants us to return it, so they'll do it for us. Only someone like you can break it down without any trouble. It's fun to watch. Thanks.

I just bought one of these for $150. I don't have much money and I wanted something because I'm fearful of the direction our country is going. I'm hearing a lot of crap about these weapons but mine fires and hits target. That's all I wanted. Yesterday I lost my pistol when it fell out of my canoe. Whoopsy-daisy

Use an empty mag to hold the slide back, (last round hold open) get the pin out release the slide then dry fire to release tension on the springs. Trust me, it works.

Yeah, I carry a punch, a bolt, and a screwdriver with me everywhere I go. Thank you for showing us how to do this. A pistol should not be this hard to field strip. You should not have to have any tools to field strip a pistol. Just saying.
@brianh.000
@brianh.000 5 жыл бұрын
Fortunately, most of us won't be taking this gun into battle, alleviating the need for field stripping. In a pinch, a nail and a hard surface are all you really need. I admit it is kind of annoying. Just saying.

@paulrooster2108
@paulrooster2108 4 жыл бұрын
Dude just turn in your Man Card , 1st you always make sure your firearm is clean before you use it , An really you only need to clean it like every 1000 rounds , you don't need the large nut he was showing that just elevate the firearm, you can a chunk of wood etc , couple rocks just throw a rag over them , An for a punch you can use a large nail , welding rod , a Ole skinny Phillips screwdriver etc , An seriously no hammer ? Ok well maybe you never got a Man Card from the looks of it

I was recently gifted the Hi-Point 9mm. Have yet to fire it so I'm doing my research. Any opinions??
@RomeoJN
@RomeoJN 4 жыл бұрын
Stephanie Puett Hi-Points are heavy, ugly and don’t have some of the nicer features of guns 2-3 times the price. However, with factory magazines, the Hi-Points are absolutely reliable and as accurate as you are. I’ve had one for over 10 years and it still shoots perfectly to this day, no matter what kind of ammo I put in it. There are a lot of people who hate them (as I’m sure you’ve found by now) but don’t let that discourage you - most haters either assume they’re junk due to being cheap and clunky, or have “heard” somewhere that they’re unreliable. Get out and shoot that sucker and learn for yourself what it does well and what you don’t like about it!
