Hi-point field strip...how hard it ISN'T!!

Although field stripping a hi point pistol does require some tools, that doesn't mean it's a miserable process, and I found that it is actually fairly simple unlike many reviewers have stated.

I do not own a Hi Point....yet. I'd like to have a JHP 45 caliber Hi Point. It looks easier to take down and reassemble than my Ruger LC9s. The Ruger also has a pin which needs removed and reinstalled but the slide doesn't lock back in the right place to reinstall the pin. So I have to hold the slide in just the right place to line up the holes for the pin. I find this to be a pain.

The official name is slide retainer (from the factory drawings).

Good tutorial. Hipoints fall into that category, like Glocks, of guns I like to shoot, but don't like enough to own.

I agree for the most part, there are so many nicer guns out there like all those wonderful classic revolvers you own, just at a point right now without a lot of extra cash to spend on guns!! Lol. Thanks Greg! 😄

@@TheMagnumChannel I like both Glocks and Hipoints. There are just other firearms I'd rather have first. LOL - I thought it would be a good comparison to speak both in the same breath. But you know, whatever firearm circumstances dictate I have, I'm going to make it work for me.

I generally love his videos, and overall he didn’t give the gun too bad a wrap, but his schpeel on takedown was unnecessary. Lol, thanks for watching!!
