In 2009, Jonathan Hickman started writing the Fantastic Four, Marvel Comics first family, and because it was before his run on Avengers and Secret Wars, we had no idea what was waiting for us. From the Council Of Reeds, Doom's Plan, the relaunch for the Future Foundation and Spider-Man joining team, there was a lot to love here... but it's not all perfect.
With the re-print of the omnibuses finally here, I review the full run, spoilers included.

The "ending problem" is because this really is the middle of the story and the real ending of this run is Secret Wars

One of the greatest stories ever published by Marvel. Hickman knocked it out of the park with this run. Marcus amazing review as always. Your commentary is unbiased and amazing. Great stuff bro.

I braced myself for a low rating when you put "gimmicks" in the title, but I'm glad you loved it, too. This is one of my all time favorite comics, and I definitely need to get it back in omnibus format.

Since they skipped 11 issue 589 to 599. How about a 11 issue series with Legacy numbers 589 to 599 that focuses on the council of Reeds by Hickman

I have read the majority of Avengers run and really loved the epicness and scope(a highlight for me was Infinity), but yet to dip my toes into Hickman FF. Would it be a ok read if I haven't read a huge amount of FF yet? Excited to see what you review next!!

I must be the only person on the planet who didn't like this run. The entire run felt like it started with "ok, here's what I want to see happen in this comic and I don't care how those events happen, I just want to see them happen", so it honestly felt close to a self-insert because of that.
