Hidden ABANDONED Farmhouse With Heartbreaking Past. Explore # 115
The previous owner lived on this farm by herself. I was told by locals that she did not take care of her property, house and animals. On a few occasions her animals have gotten lose and wondered over to her neighbours property. She had a few complaints from neighbours about this and that the animals look malnourished and unhealthy. Sadly she battled cancer for a few years. In 2018 her animals had gotten out once again. Her neighbours complained. Someone did a welfare check at the house and found the lady had passed away inside the house. Hopefully the animals were rescued and they found new caring homes. Since 2018 this farmhouse has been abandoned and forgotten about.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

There was recently a story about 16 neglected horses and farm animals in what looked like an abandoned barn. Neighbors said they tried to offer help many times but she refused to take the help. Then eventually the humane society had to step in. Maybe people did offer help and she declined, like she had too much pride. I know older people who are like that and it’s a tough balance. But absolutely I feel bad for her, the animals and the situation. The barn looked kinda dark and dingy. But the house seemed to hold up from water damage or rotting due to that steel roof.

I adopted two dogs after their owner died from cancer. I'm guessing she was (I'm being polite) "a bit argumentative" and possibly a loner not wanting neighbours dropping by. I'd love it if someone who knew her could give us accurate information about her life and situation.

Amen, giving this woman the benefit of the doubt. I too feel certain she loved her animals. If argumentative, maybe it was with good reason if the neighbors kept calling the authorities on her. We once had people complain a fellow didn't put his horses in the barn when the sun shined. It was politely explained they had shade, a shed and water. The animals were fine. Sometimes people get carried away in their "concern", and even have selfish or malicious intent in making such reports. Thanks again.❤🙏

You don't know if they did or did not help but you are sure quick to criticize. You have no idea what she's been through in her life and you have no idea if the stories he was told was true or that they were just somebody with vindictive or had a gripe against her you don't know one thing I do know about this guy is he's very weak on his history he gets a couple ideas in his head and that's it all we would have had to do was go to the courthouse and look up the true story. This guy is not very good at what are you doing here and all of the gross that's nasty is low-class low-quality and my suggestion to him would be go out ticket English course and learn how to Vette people a little bit better. His tone of voice as well as the video could definitely put a slug to sleep. Terrible you should do documentaries on mushroom farmer. What a wuss.

As I age I can understand how your world becomes smaller and you concentrate on what you have capacity to control. Some older people try to hold on to what they’ve got and can’t accept the reality that they cannot handle it alone. My mother is 96 and has lived on the family farm 75 years. She’s always been independent and healthy but could no longer maintain her huge yard and the farm. In the last two years she has become frail, bad eyesight and hearing and finally decided she wanted to go into local assisted living home. It seems to have eased her mind to be in a clean uncluttered space with meals and housekeeping provided. We have all been very patient and accommodating but she wouldn’t pay for help and the family around her took turns helping out but it was never enough in her eyes. It’s nice to be able to visit and take her to lunch and shopping without the constant complaints about her circumstances. I hope it continues to work out and if not we’ll just bring her home and figure out from there.

Hi Bret!! Interesting find, but what an oddly shaped house! Maybe at one time when she was well it might have looked prettier, but that's a lot of upkeep on that property for one person, especially if she was sick Beautiful scenery, what are the plans for the house, maybe someone would buy it for the land alone, and rebuild a house. Loneliness causes people to do strange things, she was totally remote, and as much as I love quiet, coming from NYC, I'd go bananas in two minutes living there. That's so sad that she died alone... well... except for her pets I guess. The woman sounds like a loving soul. My wife loved animals and horses as well... she also died (rather quickly) last year of cancer... but at least she had some people with her, not alone like that. It's too bad to see a lifetime of memories just left to rot. A home someone could enjoy, left empty is such a shame as well. I'm honestly a little concerned that people seem more upset about the animals than a woman dying alone.

I liked the layout and feel of the house. Still could be salvaged. It looks worse on the outside than in. Beautiful peaceful property. Them old dressers and antique furniture would be worth something. Nice big barn. The feel I got from this place is it was once well kept up and unique but this poor lady couldn't keep up when she got sick. Sad story indeed. Thanks for the share.

Another great "story". I love that you displayed the alarm clock, globe and ribbons on that side table. A lovely offering. Others have commented here on hearing a cat in the barn. I'm hearing possibly some kind of squeaky metal piece that is being moved by the wind? There is a bit of a breeze and lots of open spaces for it to blow through the barn. Thank you! Looking forward to your next.

I have felt reflected. I am 79 years old and I live alone in an apartment with neighbors. My children are far away. One of my daughters told me to go live with her. I have my life here and it would be very difficult for me to adapt to another country that It has a bad economic situation and especially in relation to health. Which here is free and very good. It's a dilemma.

Hi Brent, oh my such a heartbreaking story. Makes me so sad she died alone. Maybe some of her fur babies were by her side when she passed. I want to believe she did the best she could to take care of them as long as she was physically able. I live alone with my little dog Gracie, she is a like a child to me. As I get older…..and older 😒, I pray I’m not going to be alone for the rest of my life. Maybe she had no one to help her. Maybe she didn’t want to ask for help because she didn’t want to burden anyone. Who knows…..😔so sad. Looking forward to the next explore. 👍🏼🙋🏻‍♀️Be safe

She must have had some kind of family for her stuff to have been gone through like that, I didn't see any food , refrigerator or daily clothing left and things boxed for donations. That antique furniture could be worth a small fortune at an auction. I would have expected that there would have been everything untouched and left in place if she were truly alone in life. Thanks for sharing this exploration, I like the remoteness of her homestead.

@@AbandonedUrbexCanada, I only saw some jackets and coats hanging and the dresser drawers only showed a rat's nest. There were plenty of Cardenas with nothing in them, usually a woman whom passed away unexpectedly with nobody as family to uphold her estate the home would be left as is and not left with donation boxes , beds already broken down with no mattresses or blankets on them and her livelihood looking like someone has taken the chance to try to go through her belongings. No letters, no bills, no photos, no calendar and not really much of a an actual living environment left. 🤔

@@thepickledfish3631 I would imagine that as she was becoming sicker she moved herself downstairs to the room with the big bed frame in it. The lack of a mattress could indicate that she died in the bed and it was removed due to the results of a death that went undiscovered for a period of time. There are companies that specialize in hazardous clean up and they may have removed a lot of things.
