That's a great idea, "Stories From the Streets, The Hot Dog Man's Chronicles". Collect off-beat and unusual stories from the years and years of street food vendors and the changing landscape of NYC. I worked in Manhattan from late 90s till 2003. Had to walk home over the 59th Street Bridge on 9-11 and the whole sha-bang. A lot has changed brother, stay safe.

I can definitely speak on Famous Eddie's, I have had many delicious encounters thanks to this guy. I lived in the village in the Bowery actually, 2000-2002 You'd go uptown easily spot his stand. It was unique at the time and always, always has amazing food 🤌🏼🙌🏼

This guy is an absolute legend. I wish i could get a good New York Onion Sauce recipe from one of these guys. I've tried making so many that i found online but can't get one i'm 100% happy with.

Same. I want one like Patti's (NJ) hot onions or Chris' (NJ) hot onions. I've never had the like, but they just look gooood. Figure leave out the heat for a mild version, but no recipes. 😕

Thank you for a superlative video. On my next trip to B&H, Eddie's will be a stop...just like stopping at Billy's when I'm on the Upper West. Always appreciate the warning. I never go to a Halal cart...and your take cemented. I really love Tony Dragon's on the NW corner of 62nd & Madison.

Love these videos. I miss NYC. Used to live on 23rd by the Chelsea Hotel so I was always walking around. Your videos take me back. It's been over 15 years but watching these videos still make me feel that NYC will always be home. Thanks.

When I saw the potato sticks and all the other ingredients on top of the hot dog I was like that’s a puerto rican style hot dog and yep, you confirmed it at the end of the video. Good deal 👍🏼

Yeah I think I walked by this stand a couple years ago..was on the way to somewhere and not hungry so I didn't stop to try it out..prolly made a mental note to try it sometime but have since forgotten..well thanks for the reminder..I'll swing by sometime soon! 🤤

I remember in Toronto back in the early 2000's there were "Hot Dog Wars" $3 at certain times, $2 at other times. It would go as low as a dollar. As soon as one guy changed his price they all would go a little lower. We as students loved it cause we could get a full belly on the cheap.

I remember this guy from when I worked down near 34th st. Everyone else around him sold $4 hotdogs and this guy was busting out the 2 for 5 plus a soda. Dudes legit not doing it for the money

to be fair and i'm speaking as an absolutely novice here but I rather like the rules, 18 inches here 10 feet there follow the rules, gets rid of riff raff that aren't as dedicated then you're left with places like you found here, great video, this is fun to watch and learn.
