D7 actually restocks ANY room in mirror world, including special rooms. Yes, that means you can get like 5 planetarium items in one run.

Hey, as an addendum to the thing with Meat Cleaver at 6:29 - it actually *does* allow you to get both key pieces from a single angel statue. The key (pun not intended) is to make sure you pick up the first key piece that drops *before* killing the second half of the angel you meat-cleaved. Once killed, the second half will then drop the other key piece. Hope this helps!

Meat Cleaver has a few unique interactions with certain enemies: - Most main/story bosses (a.k.a. Bosses that give you completion marks) can’t be split at all by Meat Cleaver - Delirium is the exception to the above rule and actually has no limit to the amount he can be cleaved (but don’t do that or you’re in for a world of hurt, lol) - Gemini and Visage will both immediately split into their two parts when cleaved, if a cord is connecting them. The same applies for enemies like Mr. Maw - Enemies that split naturally (i.e. Teratoma, Squirt, & The Fallen) will immediately take as much damage as necessary to split them into their parts - Segmented enemies (like Larry Jr.) aren’t split in half, but instead their number of segments is reduced by half, rounding down. - Cleaving Loki will turn him into Lokii. - Cleaving Chub, CHAD, or Carrion Queen will kill them instantly (likely a bug) - Cleaving the Horny Boys will spawn Loki and Hornfel separately, instead of two copies of the Horny Boys

I don’t know if you covered this already, but T. Laz’s reflection is always his other form. Really cool detail.

Using the R key during the Ascent sequence will immediately take you to the Basement I floor of that Ascent sequence (effectively skipping it entirely), instead of starting a new run.

If you actually use the active item "the poop" while having the midas touch, you have a high chance to get a golden poop

I wish I had knowledge to give for this series. Only thing I can say is using forget me now (or 5 dice room) without going into the item room makes you lose planetarium chance (most likely bug)

Ohhh. I found a Planetarium just yesterday and thought I had gotten it off a 1% chance because I had no other items that could have helped out. But I had gotten Sausage in a secret room on the previous floor. Very niiice.

If you have Leo, Thunder Thighs, or the Stompy transformation, (or are under the effcets of The Nail), you can walk into Red Poop and destroy it without getting hurt. You’ll still get hurt if you’re standing on it when it reforms, though. The same is also (kind of) true for spiked rocks, but results can vary depending on Isaac’s speed, size, and possibly the angle of approach. You can also safely cross spike bridges that are made by bombing spiked rocks next to 1-tile gaps, when you have these items, but again results can vary.

The Evil Charm item, besides being a big luck upgrade, also renders you immune to gas clouds (useful in the Corpse), fear effects (the floating skulls in the Mausoleum and Gehenna) and the aura of Dogma's Godhead tears.

Book of the dead now has a chance to spawn bone flys and rarely revenents but the chance of spawning the last ones increases if you are in dark room

Minor addition to the Meat Cleaver combo, it is actually very good with Filigree Feather, allowing you to get a lot of free angel room items. I've managed to do this combination with Meat Cleaver + The Battery + The Stairway once, good times :D

Since Hot Bombs deal contact damage as long as they don’t detonate, doesn’t that mean you could fill a room with undetonated bombs using Remote Detonator and have an infinite fire on demand to damage bosses. I can see that being used to cheese out Mother’s charge attack, since she can’t move if a bomb is in her path.

Something else to note about Sworn Protectors' "vacuum" effect: Once it starts pulling a projectile towards itself, that projectile will no longer be able to damage Isaac, even if it doesn't actually get blocked. You can actually see this happen at around 3:23

Notched axe gets some "enchants" when combined with Judas' Birthright

Here’s another one - if you use Mama Mega while you have a golden bomb, it will consume the golden bomb instead, letting you hang onto Mama Mega & use it a second time! This means you can get a fairly overpowered run if you manage to get the Schoolbag, Mama Mega, and the Everything Jar (which you wanna use with 11 charges to get a golden bomb on every floor)

Hey, so I found something interesting while playing Isaac a while ago, but I entered and item room on an alt path item room that I skipped over during the Ascent, and inside was Forget Me Now. I took it, used it, it restarted the floor, I noticed the item room was locked again, opened it up again, and the same two items were in there, including Forget Me Now. I did it a few more times, and I learned that you can actually loop the Ascent floor if the item room has Forget Me Now in it naturally (I think, haven’t tested it since). Maybe that could he something interesting to look into in a future video?

Using the Soul of the Lost in the room with the Mausoleum door allows you to go through it for free, regardless of which character you are playing as. This is one of the only effects in the game that bypasses that door’s health requirement.

You kind of partially covered this in the end section lol, but Fast Bombs makes it so your bombs don’t knock each other around. Dr. Fetus also has this property.

Marked is one of the few items that affects familiars, making them aim to where the character is shooting (somewhat similar to King Baby's effect)

If sharp key is used to open the chests in a challenge room it won't trigger the enemies

The stat buffs from Experimental Treatment function similarly to D8/Pills which mean they affect your Base Stats. These changes remain even when ridding oneself of the item (via D4/100 or T.Isaac). Might be well known already but I discovered it myself two days ago

Here's a neat little obscure trick that I think should definitely be in the next video: You have the Options? item as well as the Broken Padlock trinket and a chest + another pickup you really want/need spawns after you clear a room, you can bomb open the chest (except haunted chests), *grab the pickups that spawned from it and the other pickup won't disappear!* It's only if you touch the opened or unopened chest that makes the other pickup disappear. However, if the bombed open chest spawns an item instead and you snag it, it WILL cause the other pickup to go poof.

Also in the Mirror Shop, if there's a reroll machine, it'll stock the shop too

Similar to Bob's curse, hot bombs gives you fire immunity, for example fireplaces and contact damage from the fire bombs thrown by Hornfel. Also, you can also restock the shops in the mirror world by simply using a restock machine. If there is restock on the regular floor, there's also one in the mirror world, effectively giving you double shops.

This makes me wonder why Charm of the Vampire doesn't have some special effect with My Reflection

If you have the Fuse Cutters trinket and you come across a Bombgagger enemy (found exclusively in Ashpit), it will actually defuse the massive bomb they spit out and give you a Giga Bomb. When you pick it up, the next bomb you use will deal 300 damage to enemies and destroy the floor tiles beneath it! (It may not destroy all of them if doing so would cause certain exits to be inaccessible), and send out a bunch of rock projectiles that deal 15 damage to enemies The only other way to obtain a Giga Bomb (barring TMTRAINER, of course) is to use Everything Jar on 12 charges, which will sometimes drop one.

You can take all deal with the devil that u want if ther s a soul/black/bone heart on the ground and you take it during the animation, this works even with the forgotten(u don t need hearts you can simply switch ghost form to regular and don t die)

I didn't know about the pickaxe and iron bar synergy, the heartbreak effect on lost and found soul (I also rarely get this item lmao), the homing effect chance on ouroboros worm, the golden version of tick (that you can drop it normally) and the midas' touch armor weakness effect on Ultra Greed. Speaking of, does the pickaxe have synergy with midas touch, since it also looks like bar and maybe it will make the pickaxe golden? :D I really appreciate your content overall, although being an Isaac veteran, I still learn new stuff thanks to your videos! 👍

Here's a tip I learned from someone: alternating between normal and, well, alt-path will prevent Curse of the Labyrinth from happening, since you'll always be on the second floor. So: Basement 1 -> B2 -> Downpour 2 -> Caves 2 -> Mines 2 -> and either Depths 2 if you hate free stuff, or The Mausoleum if you're based and like free wins. If going via Mausoleum, that means Womb 1 is also skipped, since Mausoleum 2 will replace it.

Cool to see whatever little secrets are in this game. May as well suggest some other stuff - Using Anima Sola on the mask of the Visage and then killing the mask permanently kills it instead of temporarily disabling it (might be a bug? does seem pretty thematic though) - Using Spindown Dice to get a quest item while having a natural reroll effect (T Isaac, Isaac's Birthright, or Glitched Crown) will cause the item to not reroll anymore (I had this happen with Dad's Note but I assume it works with the other quest items)

I feel like the bit about TMTRAINERs description being the opening line to the game with a pattern of ZZs over it would be a neat little trivia thing

dunno if this is on the wiki yet but I used "Forget Me Now" on Mausoleum 2 after killing Mom's Heart(was going for Mother route). It rerolled the floor but in the same theme as the room after Mom's Heart's death. There were permanent darkness and creepy music playing for the entire floor. The Shop and Treasure Room didn't have any items in them. Also I had to fight Mom again but not her heart

Using how to jump as the forgotten soul and switching to the body while in the jump animation teleports you instead of jumping (not really a hidden effect, still cool though) Oh and you gain more distance like this from a single use than normal

If you aim marked on your feet while holding cursed eye you will shoot at a way higher tear speed

I have 2 that I think are interesting: 1) Cracked key is considered a card and has a chance to be replaced with a sack when you have Sack Head during the Ascent sequence. So maybe don't buy Sack Head if you're planning on beating The Beast. (found this out while scrolling the wiki randomly) 2) Using Eden's Soul, Alabaster Box, and/or Glitched Crown to exhaust any special room's item pool will not lead to Breakfasting. Instead, it'll start pulling from the Item Room's Pool when that special room's pool runs out. If you somehow manage to also exhaust the Item Room's pool, you'll start Breakfasting. (this one isn't in the wiki and I found it out by getting a broken Deleted run)

book of belial gives extra devil room chance when held. Abel on cain and t-cain has doubled damage. Killing enemies with spider butt releases spiders. Strawman gives you 1 bomb. If you have lost contact and rubber cement tears will bounce off enemy projectiles instead of being destroyed. Blood of the marthyr gives you 1.5 damage multiplier combined with book of belial. Spear of destiny includes fear on enemies.

You can't die while in the state of activated t-samson/soul of samson/berserk. You are not immune to damage though, you just stay alive until effect wears off even if you're out of health. If you ARE out of health, you can prevent death by picking up any suitable form of health (red/soul/black/rotten hearts, health up items with any full health containers, healing with actives). But the fact is, lost and t-lost are able to utilise this. They have a hidden half soul heart, if you take fatal damage in the berserk state, you can avoid death by picking up a soul heart.

Catching a bishop enemy with a friendly ball makes them shield you but unlike their regular shield instead of blocking they take damage for you and after enough shielding they die, BUT they still function normally with your friendly charmed enemies so you can make an army of them as long as you keep the bishop alive....

Blood of the Martyr grants an additional damage up when using the Book of Belial. This makes it a great item on Judas!

Since heartbreak gives 4 extra lives for the lost it's probably up there with dead cat for one of the best items for the lost

Magneto + Options? is pretty nice. If you get a grey chest, since you don't have to touch the grey chests to open them, you are now able to take the contents of that chest plus the other drop.

One cool secret thing is with Jupiter and any horse active item. When you have that combination you will not lose any speed when farting

Great li'l series! I've got some things that are probably pretty well known but I will still share. Mom's Bracelet can pick up the Host enemy's skull, turning them into Red Hosts. The Ultra Secret Room Item Pool only has items that are mostly red. This includes Red Key, which I think is funny. D7 doesn't just restock the Mirrored Shop, it works in every special room. Except for the Boss, I think. Some angel room items cost 2 red hearts if they appear in the Devil Room via Chaos, and devil room items that cost 2 red hearts will cost 30 coins if they appear in the Stairway shop.

Midas' Touch should be a passive effect honestly. Also you should be able to open the Mom's Heart in the Mausoleum with Mom's Knife, Yes Mother?, Sacrificial Dagger, Dad's Key (or it might be Sharp Key that doesn't open it, I wish the two were synced), and hell Spirit Sword/Spear of Destiny too, why not? It was a mechanic in Antibirth and it would be a nice attention to detail and a way to fix a common mistake of forgetting to get the Knife Pieces.

I found out something cool with dark arts on t Judas which is you can slice your own corn bullets from monetezumas revenge as well as the fact that when you slice up something near a keeper in secret rooms and shops it allows you to destroy them for basically free destruction of them with no bombs

Little things like these make the game extra amazing

Stat changes or familiar generated from Metronome will persist between rooms (or until the item is used again) if you use it with Blanket or Holy Mantle/Holy card

Dads key can be used to get in and out of boss trap rooms even if you don't meet the 1 heart requirement, and to add to this it might be worth it to alternate between normal and alt path because you'll have a high chance of getting a free boss item every floor

Another fact I learned today: Blood Bombs can be placed at the cost of half a red heart if you have 0 bombs left

You said about the d7 restocking shops, but it also works on the empty mirror world item room on downpour XL

D7 on mirrored floor actually restarts the room (not only the shop). For example if you find a room in an unmirrored floor with pickup, chest or item in it, it will spawn it always in the same room in mirrored floor after using d7. Finding the ultrasecret room with batteries holding a d7 on this floor actually breaks the game. Thats why i love finding d7 before or on the mirrored world

Gnawed Leaf also grants immunity to the soul of tainted forgotten. You also can move (and pick up the skeleton) while the effect stays active. If you have an orbital, you can easily kill enemies instead of waiting until they hit you.

Remote Detonator does control throwable bombs spat out by Bomb Grimaces, once picked up. The bombs can be carried throughout rooms without ever exploding until Remote Detonator is used.

One interesting fact about sacrifice alter is that it works on trinkets that gives you familiars. Don't know if anyone is aware of it

D7 can do a lot more in the mirror world. It resets all the rooms. You can get items from boss challenge rooms with it

Not sure if this counts but I've never heard anyone talk about it - Tractor Beam gives you a +1.0 tears up that can be stacked beyond the tear cap.

Using the Poop active item with Hallowed Ground spawns a holy poop, haven't seen that one mentioned anywhere. Makes the poop active item actually useful.

I don't know if it's like this on PC but Dark Arts works with the charmed Boneys from Book of The Dead, so you could get a bunch of skeletons, sit in a room and stack up a ton of damage.

Mars can open spined chest and go into cursed rooms without taking damage. D1 spawns a random version of the doubled pick up (doubling a peny can spawn a nickle). Butter bean can do damage if it makes an enemy hit a wall or another enemy.

I actually noticed the Sworn Protector attracting projectiles thing in one of the previous episodes!

I guess it's kind of obvious but smelting, swallowing or using the "Gulp!" pill on the Tick also lets you pick up other trinkets afterwards

you can use the D7 in a boss challenge room in the mirror world multiple times to get many items and you only have to fight once

Now here's a good question: Does the Midas Touch reducing Ultra Greed's armor happen only when he is frozen in gold or at all times but only with the Midas Touch item? Because if it were the debuff that does it, that means a lot more gold applying status effects would be boosted against Ultra Greed.

I think PHD one was pretty known, you used to abuse that back in rebirth when blood machines spawned in greed mode.

if you have hallowed ground while having the poop active, using it will give you hallowed ground without the need to be hit. so its basically a free holy aura per active room

You have to enable the option for mouse control by changing the options file manually but marked and megafetus can be controlled by the mouse. Might not need to be activated anymore I don't have repentance yet
