Great technical explanation as always Dave. I think working out the differences in what our eyes see and what the camera sees is half the battle in photography.

Very well explained as ever Dave and loving the folly in your garden at the start;) I used to just apply global adjustments until I learned masks! Great to process images to purvey the scene as you experienced it and more like what you witnessed. Catchup soon.

I’m a photoshop guy, so what I generally do is dual process the image where I duplicate the image and set two different global white balances. Then I blend them with masking. I prefer the added control of this method.
